the reason is because korea was like the "filter" for japan modernization. Korea kind of modernized Chinese ideas and got passed to japan but japanese is good language to knnow for korea! i know speak too

subarashii and sugoi mean something like great and fantastic, but the word "sugorashi" doesn't exist. I realized I was wrong though, because after I watched this clip for about the twentieth time or something, I noticed that Kyunnie does say "subarashii" correctly and I just heard it wrong...lol

They're the same sort of word. Subarashii means more like "amazing" as you say. Sugoi means more like "great", it can be really good or really terrible. Sort of like the word "awesome" in english.
