@dbreiden83080 Boomer was a NFL MVP, mutli time all-pro, multi time pro bowler, threw for over 35,000 yards, nearly 250 touchdowns, had an above 80 career qb rating, and is viewed as one the best play action fake qbs and underrated players of all time. I dont think thats the makings of a terrible qb. Sounds like a good qb. BTW this is coming from a Bears/Titans fan.
Boomer was great. However if you look at his 1988 postseason stats he didn't do well. Their super bowl appearance, despite how much I respect Boomer, was due to the awesome play of the defense and the rushing attack. I watched those games, and the Bengals won despite him in the playoffs.
Is there any reason why they haven't done a story on the Browns "missing rings" in 1986 or 1987? I hate the Eagles but the 1980 or 2004 team should be considered too.
It's awesome that the Bengals nearly beat great players Joe Montana and Jerry Rice who had huge games that day with not well known guys like James Brooks, Stanford Jennings, and Jim Breech.
@dumuh But then you kinda dilute the point. The point of the Missing Rings series is about teams that probably SHOULD have won but didn't (the prime example in this series being the 1998 Vikings).
Stanley Wilson had a relapse with cocaine and i guess being in the Super Bowl was not more important than another snort. Now he is in federal prison for drug trafficking.
STANLEY WILSON WAS FRAMED. I WAS WITH HIM THE NIGHT The federal officers arrested him and fear began eroding my soul as I saw a young man's life being ruined. Stanley Wilson never did a drug in his life, It was all a setup by the Bush Administration.....WAKE UP PEOPLE. THE REAGEN ADMINISTRATIONS PLAN OF WORLD DOMINATION IS IN EFFECT AS WE SPEAK.
For many days I was striken w/ grief because this was the last video to not be posted and while that is true, it is my favorite. As time went on despair and fear filled my erosive mind and soul. But today all that changed and despair has turned into repair. The weight I've gained is already being shed and I'm thinking of the future.

They totally deserved that Super Bowl.

this team had an impressive offense but the 99 titans, 04 eagles or 01 rams should have been on here not the bengals

Tim Krumrie's broken leg was one of the nastiest injuries I've ever seen. Right up there with Theismann's broken leg

Wow. Great story. I was age 17 during that Super Bowl. Joe Montana and the 49ers pulled it out somehow in the end.

they should do some more missing rings, i'd like 2003 panthers, 2009 vikings, 1986/7 browns, 1979 Oilers and the 2002 raiders, just a personal list
sam0498 1 month ago
@sam0498 I personally wouldn't mind if they made a missing rings episode for all the super bowls. Not like they cost a lot to produce.

@sam0498 also the 2007 patriots and the 1997 packers

@sam0498 They should also do the 1968 Colts, 1970 Cowboys and the 1983 Redskins.

@GialloHorror you are right on with those. I would especially like to see the 1970 or 1978 Cowboys.
