@lpfanhun I'm taking hte reason that it was originially called "Japan" is because this song is describing how Japan was losing their battle near hte end of World War 2. This might describe a soldier fighting tooth and nail whether he's a regular soldier on Okinawa and/or Iwo Jima or a kamikaze pilot. I think the girl might be a regular civilian caught up in the firebombing of Tokyo and major cities or heaven forbid, a survivor of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
