You see, this is the exact reason why I use re-chargeable batteries. It is a bother when there's no power to re-charge them though but, otherwise, they work a treat! It's just a shame they cost more than 2 pence really...
@Mrsir2 - perhaps you could send us some in an emergency space rescue package. We managed to heat up these batteries quite successfully (with the power of our minds mostly...hands were too cold. No budget for gloves either) but who knows how many more times we will have to stop to super charge our only power source again. Our trip to deliver our "get well soon" cake to pluto may depend on it.

@kawaii50 - Yes. Yes we did. The Astro Disco and also quite a lot of tin foil style space insulation tape.
