  • Sarge tore out the frame.. 2:25.........This movie and The Color Purple really captured the "Black Essence". Both movies dealt with Black self hate and mistrust.....and right now, black self-hate is at a all time high.

I can deal with racism form other races, i expect it, but when it comes from my own kind...it really messes my head up.

  • This movie and the Color Purple were brutally snubbed at the Oscar's. These were two of the most blatant examples of racism in Oscar history.

  • damn niggers

  • @6580006247 Who are you calling niggers? You are a nigger too and no it does not matter what race you are. Fucking dick head, no education, trashy racist cock sucking fuck face. Fuck you and you can suck black peoples' dicks like you and your fucked up ancestors have been doing for the past 400 fucking years. You and others need to leave black people alone. They work hard for what they got. And you? Well, anyway.......

Stink ass racist slut hoe, bitch. Not opening any replies.

  • Adolph Caesar was a brilliant actor, Denzel really was magnificent in this movie. One can feel the pain and emotion from these actors

  • Man, that's music !!

  • This is by far my favorite movie. The social commentaries that are played out are so powerful that many do not recognize them in the movie or themselves. I am a teacher who use this in a psychology and a sociology course to examine some past and present mindsets.

  • how's the song called that is being played at the begining?

  • I'm glad this movie was posted on Youtube. This is one of my favorite movies.

  • Caesar absolutely rocked this role from start to finish.... Period and point blank.

  • Thank you!!

  • Can't believe Rotton Tomatoes only gave 88% ? should've gave it 100%

  • IT'S INTERESTING THAT A WHITE MAN FELT THE NEED TO BRING OUT BLACK SOCIAL ISSUES. TO ME, HE IS DOING SO AS IF THAT'S THE PROBLEM WE(WHITES) HAVE WITH YA'LL NEGOES....."WHY ARE YA'LL SO DIVIDED"

  • @rdatlasmbrd It's a black thing my white brother. we've been long divided waaay before your folks dragged us in chains to the this part of the world. in fact the division among us gravely was the prime factor in our enslavement. Everywhere in the world black folks hate each other. One obvious example: Africa is the richest continent naturally on this earth but look

  • black actors (some) have to kill to win an oscar award

  • I met Robert Townsend about a month ago. What a cool guy! The first time I met a celebrity and it exceeded my expectations. I've been a fan for a long time.

  • Amadeus more worthy of the Best Picture Oscar than this? I don't think so.

  • "Aw c'mon now, everyone knows it was the klan"

  • This song was tight. Patti ran all through this song. she run down and up the scale.

  • is this song made just for this movie or does it have a name?

  • AWESOME UPLOAD.. I remember watching this as a child with my Mama!

  • Great movie!

Plus it's directed by a Canadian!

  • I love his movie. One of the best : )

  • Adolph Caesar deserved an Oscar for his performance,

no matter how much one despised his role. .

Denzel Washington debut was impacting also, but this belonged to Mr. Caesar.

  • @mikemikeyf I couldn't agree with you more.

  • @mikemikeyf This was not Denzel's acting debut. He was in a Charles Brunson movie called " Death Wish" in 1974, (uncredited) tho. He was the mugger. His real acting debut was in 1981 in a film called "Carbon Copy" you can look up the trailer on here

  • @mikemikeyf that's why he should win it. he deliberately made his audience hate him. that's a great actor. denzel won an award for playing in training day, so it would make sense if Adolph Caesar won an award for his roll

  • @mikemikeyf i agree. that oscar belonged to him. i hated his character and loved his role. it sucks that i didn't know about this movie a lot sooner in life

  • @mikemikeyf so who was the real killer in the film?

  • Once again Denzel shows why he is the greatest actor of our generation. SO many people to blame for "Who's wrong" in this one but "Who is right"? I would have to say Howard Rollins handling of the case and Denzel's character getting rid of an old man's terrible views of his own people and culture to the point of death.

  • oh shit! this film popped into my head just a coupla days ago. adolph caesars character is deep. at first, i thought he was self hating, but on the flip side i think he may just be disappointed and frustrated with black people. well, from what i remember, anyway....

  • They rather fight to still be a slave then be a real man and individual structure of their own G.O.D. GOVERNED OWNED DISTRICTS. BLACK G.O.D. This is a sad truth. Today and then we are responsibly for our situation! Most respect to you putting it up! More people need to know how ridiculous integration is in the concept of our liberation. It only kept us in tighter bondage!

  • I've seen this movie and a have used it as a teaching tool myself1 The answers are easy! The assimulated P.A.W.N.S.. The ones that tolerated subjugation to be apart of some vampires occupation of defeating other cultures. The ones who really though intergration was the American Dream. It is too. Selling your people and your soul entirely just have the scraps of the masters plate. Lots P.A.W.N.S rather be good ol respectable soldiers then be a liberated black militant.

  • @BNWB365 I have to agree

  • thanks

  • GREAT VID PEACE
