All 80s rockers can still rock - alternative, pop, hair bands. He said they broke up in 89. That's sort of true, & not at the same time. J. Mascis continued Dinosaur Jr. with the guitar player. The drummer left. Then later J. got another new guitar player. Dinosaur Jr. OFFICIALLY stopped Dinosaur Jr. in 1997 after the album "Hand It Over." Everything after that were BBC re-releases or best of type CDs since J. Mascis started hi J. Mascis & The Fog band. Cool that the original 3 are back.

J used to hate Lou Barlow, the bassist, and J told him and Murph, the drummer, that the band is over. Then a week or so later, J and Murph started the band again without Lou.
