  • I see you uploaded the Total Gym video over a year ago now, has it met your expections? Are you still motivated to use it or is it just gathering dust?

  • Always remember to put in the safety pin with the yellow tag when you are setting your desired height. Safety first.

  • Wow that looks nice and fast to set up!

  • Great review guys. Thank you.

  • i'm attracted to the wife. :)

  • it amazes me how indoor exercise robs the body of fresh air and nature...go kayaking, walking, hiking, skating, skiing and you will get the same results without spending tons of money.

  • pullups, pushups, dips, your a dipshit if you spend money on this crap, unless your old or have joint issues then dont buy this

  • For me the main thing is that working out is boring for me, this machine is fun, I love swimming and this gives me that kind of effect, my whole body is moving and it's a completely different experience, there are very inexpensive models that can be had, this is a more expensive model, but it is sweet!

  • UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • I have the xls too its great !

  • alot of "Um's" in this video.

  • total gym = waste of money

  • @spacemanspiff33

    whys that?

  • @XINKAI you don't need all those gimmicks in order to do exercise, and the majority of these 'exercises' this machine offers are extremely innefficient. The makers of the total gym know that their target audience are people looking for an excuse to exercise, they know that the majority of their customers aren't going to really fully use their equipment, and its most likely going to end up in a closet. Sure, the exercises are better than *no* exercise...but not by much.

  • @spacemanspiff33 Have you spent much time using a Total Gym? ANY time? The TG is like any other exercise tool...it will work (or not) to the degree one actually uses it. I got mine12 years ago and using it regularly I did gain strength and put on muscle mass...to the point where I did get buff. Later, I slacked off and gained weight, but I lost 30 lbs last year and have returned to the TG, and I am once again firming up. It's a legit machine and safer (in some ways) than free weights.

  • @robert101455 I didnt say the total gym is 100% ineffective, i said it's not very efficient and overpriced for what it is. Sure, if you are dedicated like you were, you will see results, and that in any form is commendable. But honestly, it's designed as a big fat moneymaker and 99% of the people that buy it are the couch potatoes that will never really use it. Again, a good set of resistance bands will do the same job if not better in all aspects, and will be significantly cheaper.

  • @spacemanspiff33 There are many good muscle- and strength-building tools, yes, and many cheaper than Total Gym. Free weights are probably best for price to capability ratio, but they can be dangerous; resistance bands are inexpensive & portable and effective, though not as good (and certainly not better) than Total Gym. The lower end Total Gyms are overpriced relative to their build quality, but the top end TGs are built to last for many years & are thus cheaper than revolving gym memberships.

  • @spacemanspiff33 You are wrong. I've been using a total gym everyday for the past 2 months. I now have rock hard abs and my arms have significantly more definition. I started working out in a gym for a couple weeks but then decided to give the total gym a try to because I hated driving to the gym after work. Exercises like the chest press and chest fly are so much harder on the total gym. It forces you to stabilize your back and use each arm seperately. Try it and you will see it works.

  • @spacemanspiff33 And the great thing about the total gym is that pretty much every exercise works out the core, triceps, shoulders and back. It's not like going to the gym where you workout in a fixed position. I get a much more efficient workout on the total gym than going to the gym. Only thing it lacks is leg workouts. I have to do at least 30 reps to get a good lower body work out.

  • @XINKAI Also....just look at the people using these machines, if they were truly getting in a good workout, they would be huffing and panting and be covered in sweat. Exercise is hard work, you can't cut corners. If it's easy, you really aren't getting much out of it... If you want a 'home gym' style workout, check out resistance bands. Much cheaper, MUCH more versatile, and much more effective. Check out bodylastics, they are among the better resistance bands out there.

  • @spacemanspiff33 When I work out on the Total Gym, I do sweat and I do breathe hard. You can't judge the tool by looking at how some people may use it. One can use dumbbells to develope body strength and muscularity, but one can also use dumbbells that are too light and won't present the physical challenge necessary to be effective. The tool--whether Total Gym or free weights--can only be effective if the user is willing to work hard and keep the exercises truly challenging.

  • Thanks a lot for the video. It really helps me put my thoughts into perspective when I can see a review from someone else's point of view, whether it be positive or negative. I am gonna go on the website tonight to find out some more info. I wish you the best in your weight loss goals, though you look great anyways :)

    God Bless!!

  • good comment, thanks

  • I don't get it. Where is Chuch Norris? Didn't he come with it? :D
