Also the Soviet model was inefficient, one example can be the car sector, many parts of East Germany were still using hard labour while West Germany was largely automated. Its also funny why so many people in East Europe tried fleeing.

But luckily, Europe isn't occupying us, we joined the EU ourselves after a democratic referendum (unlike the USSR in 1940). We have a democratic government, we have gotten lots of investments from Europe, we can develop our own culture and we can decide for ourselves without caring much about Russia - life is great ;)

Communism doesn't work, period. That said, had the Soviets adopted a system like China's they'd still be around today and likely would be quite powerful. The USSR and Russia and the Caspian states in particular were/are very rich in natural resources.

What do you expect the change was done in the wrong way and wasn't effective at all. For the former puppet states of Eastern Europe though, they much rather not live under the Soviet system. Otherwise they would have voted for it.
Also the Soviet model was inefficient, one example can be the car sector, many parts of East Germany were still using hard labour while West Germany was largely automated. Its also funny why so many people in East Europe tried fleeing.

Isn't the whole point of communism the equal rights of each individual with a stateless and classless society?
