i do a variation of these i dont know what theyre called but instead of lifting with my traps i lift with my arms. i just lift the weight straight up as high as i can go and i feel it in my traps as well as my rear delts. does anybody know the name of this excercise im talking about?
i find you can get A GREAT trap workout with just twenty pound dumbells, thats all i use just really gotta concentrate, i alwasy see people using like 80 + pounds just cuz its an easier excercise to lift, not necessary
@grantflip Dude, I don't see how that's possible. Do you do like fifty reps? I'm one of those people you mentioned. I use 105 in each hand for three sets of 8 and it annihilates my traps, plus, just lifting 210 off of the ground for three sets is like a mini deadlift circuit. It also develops a KILLER grip if you don't use lifting straps or hooks.
@kungfujellybean when i do em i keep all work on the traps and i never go all the way down, half way during when im gettin the burn ill bend down a bit for the different angle, gets a geat burn for me i dont think ill ever use more then 25 pounds for traps

@leftpuman ..upright row.. but they are usually done with a barbell not dumbells

@leftpuman What vid poster said. Also, you can experiment with different grip widths. The wider out your arms, the more you recruit your delts.
