  • Was pointed here by a Who mailing group Oddsandsodds and told to watch Pete's jump at the start, pretty amazing at 60, good share, cheers ;)

  • Pino is a great player, but he should have used steel strings, these sound kinda like flatwounds, although I'm not sure....

  • john never had a bass live on stage with normal fuzz..... distorted bass is the who style :D

  • GREAT PINNO PALADINNO!!!!

  • Those old guys never looked better .... Rock On !!

  • the man on the bass.. is that pino paladino that also play with john mayer trio?

  • @bebaslepas yes he is

  • Good bass solo's.. Just not the same as the ox.

  • WHERE was this and why didnt I hear from this?? =(

  • I think the bass solo was just turned to Palladino's style. He's a musician, not a tribute band member.

  • @marticeltractor I was very sad when John died. I still can't understand why they didn't find a better replacement than Pino. The OX is irreplacable. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dersh65 so if the OX is irreplacable there wouldn't be a "better replacement" at all would it?

  • It's really disapointing when you're expecting an Entwistle Bass solo and he's not there... But this guys obv n accomplished player because he had the riff down to a Tee!

  • wow the who live in Locarno

  • How old are em?? .

and whats the name of new members

  • no rogers just a bit old now

  • Did The Who ever change singers? Because this sounds nothing like original and "Who are you"/"Won't get fooled again" sounds nothing like earlie singing..

  • Nooooooo...Roger Daltrey has just got older. He also has bronchitis, which has affected his voice. Won't Get Fooled Again was recorded in '71, while Who Are You? was recorded in ' 78. This is 2006. So we are looking at 35 and 28 year gaps. The only people they've replaced are the dead ones, Keith Moon and John "The Ox" Entwistle".

  • No. Same singer, same guitarist. The bassist and drummer are sadly dead. It sounds different because A) its live and B) they're just a little bit older.

  • Always been Roger....since 1965..

  • so the song can't explayin from 64 isn't with roger?

  • Roger has always been the lead singer of the Who....Can't Explain was recorded in 1965.

  • I know that, but it was recorded november 64, so i guess i'm right.

and you shouldn't forget zoot suit by the high numbers from june july 64, also with roger.

  • @OropherThranduil Dude.....please...there is nothing you can tell me that I don't know about Pete and the Who.....been a fan since was a kid.

  • well, then check your facts next time and don't bitch around when somebody corrects you.

  • WTF are u talking about?? Who's bitching??

  • "that bass was weak "

    Compared to what?

  • im guessing compared to the ox. i think the bass was good, but not nearly what it would've been if it were the ox. no offense to pino

  • Compared to Entwistle. Pino can never compare to The Ox, nor can ANY other bassist.

  • back in the days it was the hardest, rudest and best song ever ! but it doesn`t works today, when a bunch of "old" men sings it,and not only that: roger sings verybad,i think, and without john you can forget it

  • "but it doesn`t works today, when a bunch of "old" men sings it,"

I'm guessing by your grammar and spelling that you're still hovering around the age of 12.

Once you get into your teens you might come to understand it a little better.

  • there is only one word wrong,..that can happen :-) by the way: i`m much older than 12,but sorry i am not that in the english language.

  • i agree

"hope i die before i get old"

    too late

  • 1:10 best bend i´ve ever heard

  • pino has a black jaguar bass

i got a red one theyre so cool

shortly after this video he painted the headstock black to match the body

  • the only thing that bothers me about this is the bass, it just doesn't sound good

  • I think Pino does the best that he can do. I dont think he came in to be the Ox..who is someone that no body could fill his shoes . Pino plays his same style and I like that.

  • ... and another idiot director who thinks people want to see the audience!

The greatest live band in the world and the cameras point to the crowd again and again!

  • awesome performance/ video, but the audio is very quiet and you can't hear the crowd.

  • man pino palladino and zak starkey kick ass i saw them 3 days ago and i wish i could see them again they are crazy good haha the edge yea he was probably like that guy is so cool i wanna be just like him meanwhile the edge is like im gonna do the windmill and play a red strat pete is so awesome

  • As said before, no John Entwistle, no My Generation.

  • I love that song and it was a great concert

  • Awesome gig, the crowd went absolutely crazy. I think about getting the DVD. Thanks for sharing the vids from Locarno, mercuryman67!

  • Exceptional!

  • LOL! The Edge, that's funny!

  • is pete tryin to be the edge? lol

cool vid tho, love the bass

    peace :D

  • I doubt it. If you go to music.com you can buy DVDs of all of the European shows.

    keep the faith,

    dEs

  • is there a torrent of this concert?
