How can you sum up such a phenomenal car? It can do 0-60mph in 2.5 secs, 0-100mph in 5, and had to be electronicly limited to 253mph. And yet the thing that differs it from a car of similar performance is that the Veyron is a luxury GT car aswell as a ballistic missile. It also handles remarkably well. How it does these things with that massive weight I don't know, all I know is that it is simply the greatest piece of automotive engineering ever!

F1 car does 320kph without any turbo's. The Veyron has 4 of them.
Don't get me wrong on The veyron, it's an awesome car. But F1 isn't allowed to use turbo's and bigger engine's. All their speed comes from aerodynamics and motor efficiency.
If u put turbo's in an F1 car it can go as fast or maybe faster. But the racing world banned turbo's from formula 1 in the early 90's I believe, due to it being unsafe.
the bugati veyron is fast only on the strait line one ferrari f430 scuderia is faster on the track even the lancer evo fq360......because the bugati is very hevy....
With all this comparison you guys are stating about the Maclaren F1 and the Veyron (and i love them both). I thought i would mention the fact that if they bothed race you could let the maclaren start first and crack 130mph before the Bug started and it would still get to 200mph before the Maclaren.
there would still be lots of cars beating the veyron round nurburgring but no supercar beats the veyron's interior and styling. this is not the same without the hamster and captian slow
i still like the mclaren f1 more because its much more practical, it looks nicer and it only has a 6 liter v12 so it only weighs 2513 lbs. the veyron weighs 4112 lbs and thats more than my families suv. the mclaren didn't need 1001 bhp and it only went 10 mph less than the veyron.
But remember, the Veyron had to compete with the current safetyfeatures, luxuries like climate control, leather seats and all other electronics. Then the Veyron had to be easy to drive, unlike the McLaren F1 since you'll need to wear in-ear protection due the huge amount of sound it produces.
But yes, the McLaren F1 was more like a brute roadbug that ate everything that came in its way.
the standard f1 really wasn't that bad sound wise. its quieter than an ascari a10 of or a koenigsegg ccx. however, more stripped out racing versions of of the f1 like the LM, dont have any sound insulation to save weight. and those models make your ears bleed.
that IS the best car at this point in time in my opinion and will be for a very long time.. sure theres faster cars but they all look like races cars (ssc aero) and tbh if they were better than this surely he would've reviewed them instead of this....

The check engine light (in fact, all the dashboard lights) will come on for a second or two when the key is turned so that the driver knows the bulbs are working.
Seven and a half minutes in they will have just cut back to the shot of the rev counter when he turned the ignition. I dont think they do close ups of the dials while an £800,000 car is driving at speed..
Actually they do use close ups of the gauges when it's moving (6:45) and when it first starts up there are way more lights on the dash than just the check engine light in the rev counter. And in one of the other videos he did say that the Veyron broke down and the only completely reliable car was the Gallardo.

You can't compare this to F1 car.
F1 car does 320kph without any turbo's. The Veyron has 4 of them.
Don't get me wrong on The veyron, it's an awesome car. But F1 isn't allowed to use turbo's and bigger engine's. All their speed comes from aerodynamics and motor efficiency.
If u put turbo's in an F1 car it can go as fast or maybe faster. But the racing world banned turbo's from formula 1 in the early 90's I believe, due to it being unsafe.

a F1 car is a sportscar, one that cannot be used in normal conditions.
The Veyron is a car you actually use, to buy a few apples from the supermarket or something.

the bugati veyron is fast only on the strait line one ferrari f430 scuderia is faster on the track even the lancer evo fq360......because the bugati is very hevy....

With all this comparison you guys are stating about the Maclaren F1 and the Veyron (and i love them both). I thought i would mention the fact that if they bothed race you could let the maclaren start first and crack 130mph before the Bug started and it would still get to 200mph before the Maclaren.

there would still be lots of cars beating the veyron round nurburgring but no supercar beats the veyron's interior and styling. this is not the same without the hamster and captian slow

i still like the mclaren f1 more because its much more practical, it looks nicer and it only has a 6 liter v12 so it only weighs 2513 lbs. the veyron weighs 4112 lbs and thats more than my families suv. the mclaren didn't need 1001 bhp and it only went 10 mph less than the veyron.

But remember, the Veyron had to compete with the current safetyfeatures, luxuries like climate control, leather seats and all other electronics. Then the Veyron had to be easy to drive, unlike the McLaren F1 since you'll need to wear in-ear protection due the huge amount of sound it produces.
But yes, the McLaren F1 was more like a brute roadbug that ate everything that came in its way.
The Veyron is more civilized.

the standard f1 really wasn't that bad sound wise. its quieter than an ascari a10 of or a koenigsegg ccx. however, more stripped out racing versions of of the f1 like the LM, dont have any sound insulation to save weight. and those models make your ears bleed.

that IS the best car at this point in time in my opinion and will be for a very long time.. sure theres faster cars but they all look like races cars (ssc aero) and tbh if they were better than this surely he would've reviewed them instead of this....

Where? A minute and a half into the video when he fired the car up for the first time?
The check engine light (in fact, all the dashboard lights) will come on for a second or two when the key is turned so that the driver knows the bulbs are working.
Seven and a half minutes in they will have just cut back to the shot of the rev counter when he turned the ignition. I dont think they do close ups of the dials while an £800,000 car is driving at speed..

Actually they do use close ups of the gauges when it's moving (6:45) and when it first starts up there are way more lights on the dash than just the check engine light in the rev counter. And in one of the other videos he did say that the Veyron broke down and the only completely reliable car was the Gallardo.
