  • HILARIOUS!!!!!

  • 1:18 lol Just shows the cultural differences between Japan and other countries. Like you alluded to, they are fine with commenting on peoples weight. I have always wondered how that doesn't interfere with the social phenomena know as tatemae (建前).

  • Here's my Karaoke request: Any song by Ayumi Hamasaki. Preferably a newer track. Thanks!

  • you deserve way more views!! your gorgeous, intelligent AND FUNNY :D what more could a viewer want!!!

  • your japanese is dope! I am still learning Japanese and it' s sooo hard! how did you learn?

  • so okay i have enoungh insecurites already. it is the complete opposite in america. Big is Beautiful.

i am a full figured girl so if i go japan they will tease me.

  • @GTYmassive In all honesty yeah they are sooo afraid of going against societies rules but underneath it all (for the guys at least) they know they like a girl with met on her bones better. Example their anime has thick girls. their manga. And in their porn they have more curvy girls AV being sold more than supper skinny chicks AV.

  • we need america to become like this XD

in the USA if you even mention someones weight you could start a fight

  • "i was like wtf man"!

    LOOoOOL!!

  • Most guys won't admit that they love curves on a woman?

    I will!

  • @IWantMyVisionBack You my friend are awesome!

  • Wow on other Japan Vlogs here on YouTube, I heard that in Japan they are very respectful, kind, etc and never mean.

That they will never insult you to your face.

    Peace.

  • i dont see why being fat is that much of a big deal.

  • Couldn't agree more. When I was in Japan I saw this issue...alot. I'm pretty skinny so I didn't really get comments but it's shocking how people can outcast those who just have a tiny bit of curves. God forbid they have boobs!

  • One of the reasons I started studying Japanese was because of an Okinawan video about their long lifespan. They don't have the obesity problem like we do in the states, but that may change due to some of our influence McDonald's every D*** where.lol It is disturbing how thin some of those women are. I'm losing weight so i can be healthy, but I wouldn't want to be that skinny.

  • @Verdie09 I fel the same. I'm getting more in shape now also but I'm not sure if I can be that strict with food...lol. How long have you been studying japanese?

  • @sec1productions I'm embarrassed to say .^-^ For about two years. I have my kana down, I'm now working on building my vocabulary and kanji recognition.

  • damnnnn I'm a little chubby... gotta lose some weight before I go there! lol nice vid

  • @Lecreuset871 Noooooooooooooooo!. lol. joke. Even I may have fallen victim to the pressure of losing more weight but in the end if it's to be healthy I'll stay on it I guess. lol.

  • I think its a good thing. Being fat is repulsive and fat people should be made fun of more so that they lose weight!

  • OKAY, WTF?

    thumbs up :)

  • sort of disturbs me that being fat is illegal in Japan...

Although I'm trying to cut back on the grease, I'm still a little appalled...

  • @wiiplayer9revisited It`s not actually illegal and there are fat people, they`re just a lot rarer. If an office worker has over a certain amount of excess fat around his midsection, his company may try to encourage him to slim down. It`s the idea that excess fat in that area is related to a lot of health issues and will increase the risk of getting sick.

  • lol not laughing about the video. Laughing when you said "I was like...what the fuck man?!"

  • @kendract88 lol. I almost said that out loud when it happened but he probably wouldn't of understood it. So I just gave an awkward, soudesu ne~~.. lol.

  • I see too many girls/women where their thighs are thinner than their knees. They usually wear baggy tops and dresses so it kind of disguises the torso area. I think some women look good willowy thin while others just look sick.

  • @JapanAndThings I feel the same way. My friend always tells me how she wants very skinny legs. What I'm wondering is what Japanese guys really feel about super thin women if they didn't have to worry about being embarrassed about it. Do the guys also find super skinny legs as sexy? I think I should ask around. lol

  • @sec1productions I find healthy looking less makeup wearing, and with some nice round figures much more attractive, me no like chopsticks. I dont see how some women dont realise that.

BTW nice video, keep doing your thing

  • @sec1productions Most of them seem to like girls thin and their idea of thin is generally stricter. A lot of guys are thin and most guys don`t want to date girls heavier than them, right. Some guys have said the gap between the thighs is a must. Thin is in, but interestingly enough, shape and being toned usually isn`t so much a concern. But of course there are guys who don`t mind heavier girls.

  • You fat ass!! Lol y don't you lose some weight fat boy!!!!

  • @Hajime598 But I AAMMM!!! lol. And heads will turn. And a lot of guys will be pissed cause their girlfriends wont be focused on them/ muhaha. jokes.. Thanks for the comment!! :-)

  • good video mr kai, i wants me some sushi real bad dude, can't afford it here in america, and that makes me sad, I love sushi... and you probably are able to get so much of it for so cheap, lucky bastard!!!

  • @mdrproductionz lol. Everyday bro. lol. oohhh if you came then I'd take you to kaiten sushi. Real good sushi and a lot for real cheap!!

  • @sec1productions ugh so jealous kai....so jealous.... i want some sushi so bad, might have to take myself there for lunch maybe over the next day or so... hehehe

  • I'm a pretty big guy, and I don't have too many problems. My younger students will poke my gut from time to time, but I never feel like my space is being invaded. I've had very few people refer to me as "fat" in Japanese. I usually get でかい, which I consider more of a compliment. I may be overweight, but I'm also like 195 cm tall, so that probably helps.

  • *__*

  • twas a good video, can you make one about Japanese views on education?

  • @masterofevilshadow good idea

  • @masterofevilshadow noted. I will get on that idea right away! Thanks! :-)

  • @masterofevilshadow Yes!! I can and will. :-)

  • It's Bulkcember, get to devouring those Big Macs!

  • I totally understand the "you gained weight huh?" I was skyping with a Japanese friend and she said that to me. I had the SAME reaction you did. It is totally a different cultural norm with weight. Sometimes for the bad, but most of us could probably stand to eat a little healthier and lose a few pounds.

  • @goo3r lol. Gives ya a little stab in the gut feeling when some one here asks that question right? lol. it's like.."Are you actually asking me that or insulting me?!" lol.

  • I think there is nothing with wanting to watch one's weight for health reasons. There is a lot of positive benefits from it, but it can be over done. That is not good at all for anyone! And not eating can cause death and failure of body organs!

Regards to Japan on the weight issue, they are on the right track but they need to monitor everyone's health with doctor visits and make sure it does not get out of control.

  • @knowntothose I agree. I've actually started watching what I eat recently also. ;-)

  • I love your channel bro!! I want to learn Japanese so badly that I am going to hope on a boat and sail there!!

  • @Warbound7 Come on over! :-)

  • "Curves" I laughed SO hard!

  • Love your videos. I wondered about that as well. Japanese video games, anime, manga, hardly ever picture overweight people, and if they do, they are the corrupted bad guys. :-S Good to know. I have a video request. It's about religion. Are there tensions between people of different religions, or is it something like a taboo subject? Do they respect the differences? Also, I like the background music addition. :-D

  • @Eqvil I will look into that. Thank you for the suggestion! :-)

  • "Especially when all these potential young girls are throwing away their natural curves. Just to be accepted by Society" lmao.. Funny + Informative = Win..

  • @Nooklet Thanks bro!

  • lol you funny.

  • chef john uses it better

  • @Joker0o2 the chop sticks? lol

  • @sec1productions the song... chef john uses it in every video

  • @Joker0o2 OH!! lol! Crap! Now I gotta use a different song. ;-)

  • @Joker0o2 To be honest, about every other vlogger uses that song XD (probably to avoid copyright issues -__-)
