I went on the 26th :) it was blistering hot and it rained for about a half hour, but the balloons went up and my parents and I had a lot of fun!

Yeah, it was really hot on Saturday, too... the Shade Tents were always full! Fortunately, it didn't rain.

Well, my neighbor went the following day when it REALLY opened up. That must've been mud heaven:) I tried for the airport, but saw the traffic, went to RVCC.

Where were those nice kites, though? We might've come right in together and didn't realize. Yes, Kool and the Gang is something in person. Going to try for next year-AND a copter ride-myself. Very nice video again, WJ

The kites and small balloons (octopus, bear) were there when I arrived, over in the main field before the hot-air balloons started setting up. Helicopter rides are a lot of fun, though I'd really like to go up in one of the hot-air balloons... I had heard they sometimes have a balloon tethered to the ground that you can go up in a couple hundred feet, for just $15, but maybe the weather during the day wasn't good enough them to offer that...

You must've been out there all DAY! I was there Sat. Afternoon and night for Kool and the Gang. Be back next year, God willing. WICKED!!!

I got there around 3pm. It was great... Kool and the Gang were awesome!

Only bad thing was the parking area - trying to find my car in a dark, muddy field wasn't fun. I hope they have better lighting next year.
