  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU this kind of info is what we, performance chaser, like to see and share!!

This is the best proof you can take very easy. Today I received my new walbro gss342 and it has this shiny silver look and thin oil all over it.. now I can rest assure I really got an original (bougth it from a walbro aut dealer) as previous one does not goes beyond 50 psi at 10 psi on my turbo engine but unfortunately I had bought the first one over ebay (and not cheap). Again thank you.

  • Is it bad to run them dry? I've got two here at home and wanna test it but I don't wanna break it either..

  • Thanks alot man, very necessary video!

  • can easily telll the difference between the fakebro and the walbro.

    Walbro sound consistent and loud

fakebro sounds like a vacuum, blender, mixer and like its cutting out.

    good video thanks

  • First = real Walbro.

Second = fake Walbro that sounds like a toy drill/ toy electric motor

Last = back to the real Walbro.

Real Walbros sound like they actually pump and easily identifiable by the pulsating noise they make.

  • Walbro which is the true? the first or the second?

  • You are not supposed to run fuel pumps dry!!!! It damages them.

  • i dons undestand to, i don cath the diference, wich the diference????

  • f**k mann...i think i got a fake one to on my RB cefiro....shit!!! Thanks MYDODGEYUTUBENAME for this video...

  • i doesnt understand this... bec i am deaf.. what abt this first one or second one which it bad?

how do i know if walbro is it fake or real i am confusing

  • lol damm im happy i decided to spend the extra cash on my dual in tank walbro setup!! :) i love the sound of them whiny little fuckers!!

  • hi, wich one is the walbro fake? the first one o second one?

  • my pump does the same as the first you try out but inside the tank makes less noise than the stock one, is it normal ?

  • Hi Miguel, no it wouldnt be a Walbro pump. Walbro pumps are not known for being quiet. They are actually nicknamed 'Whinebro' because they are loud and can make a whining noise. If yours sounds like the first one tested and is quieter than the stock pump, you have a fake Walbro.

  • I just got a walbro off of ebay for $88 shipped and trying to figure this out. if it kakes the popping kind of noises is it real? because i hear that the fake one just whines and the real one pops air

  • It definitely depends on the installation. I replaced my stocker with a 255hp. I doubled up on the rubber isolator and reused the "hockey puck" off the original pump and it's only slightly louder than the stock one, you really have to listen for it and I don't even have a radio in my car.

  • Any suggestions where to buy an original/real Walbro? after this i see that nearby al Walbros in Swedish shops are fake.

  • qmiler88, you're a dickhead. You dont have to see clearly to notice the difference, use your frikken ears. The real Walbro (shiny pump) makes the pumping sound and the fake sounds more like a motor in a cheap kids toy drill. The evidence is there whether you believe it or not. This video is out there to help people tell the difference. The fake had failed several times in this particular 4G63T powered car and as soon as it was replaced with a genuine Walbro there has never been a problem since.

  • fuck i might have a fake one... I will try even if it means it will hurt it a bit... any other way to know...

  • very nice!

  • you do know thats really bad for both of the pumps right ?
