One of the purest and least influenced Inka celebrations that lasted the time and overcame every attempt to change its core purpose, the celebration and pilgrimage to "Apu Ausangati" the greatest snow mountain god in the southern part of Peru.
Long live Qoyllur Rit'i;Lucero del nevado; Venus of the snowy mountain.
50,000 persons devoted to the Apu Qolloriti in the most amazing fusion of Christianity and Pachamama worshiping a huge meteorite that has a image of a human being coming out of the Rock, (Q'ollor: Star riti: snow). Of course we do not know since when the indigenous worship that Apu, but for sure were the Spanish that dressed up the Rock!!
