I don't know much about concrete but to me that mix looks way to wet/sloppy?.. maybe American standards are largely different to Australian I don't know.. just seems that 'crete would have a hugely excessive slump value.
I just poured a slab this morning, I always get real nervous when I pour concrete I don't know why, Iv never had a problem getting it finished, But It just makes me nervous
What is the purpose of pulling up the mesh, if they are just going to step on it? Wouldn't it be better to drop it into the concrete and tamp it down, after the concrete is mostly spread out?
Thanks for posting these videos. I really enjoy them.
@ProfileMachiningLLC The rock in the concrete keep the mesh from going all the way down to the vapor barrier. Your suggested way would be a nightmare. Try it, you'll see why.
@dav1099 Thanks! I had to leave for an appointment or else I would have shown all the steps. I didn't get to show them troweling it the first and last times. Oh well, that will be Parts 5 and 6 at another job site!

@ProfileMachiningLLC
1) It didn't go down(I'm the son of the guy who whistled) due to how it was setup.
2) He pulled it up so then it's not at the BOTTOM of the slab. This way it can do a better job.
