the best front line in the east...jermaine oneal and bosh, there will be alot of blocks a combined 30-40 points per game just from those 2 on ur front line...jose calderon will be a 14 point/7assist man, jamario moon a 16 pt man, and parker ofcourse..thats a threatening team to boston along with philly who is coached by one of the best former blazer coach maurice cheeks

Exactly, I've watched the Raptors everygame for years and this was by far one of the most entertaining Roy would not give up everytime i thought it was over Roy prevented it, And as its already been pointed out Portland has an amazing team its going to be a toss up whether they'll gel well but I'd assume they would, they're a good example of ow the Raps were trying to Go and I look forward to following Portland and the Raptors

The West is a better conference. How do you explain the Hawks making it into the playoffs without winning 40 games? The West will be better this year too. It will take some time for the East to finally catch up. The Blazers played in the toughest Western Conference in NBA history and still won as many games as Toronto, you can't look past that. Now with all the additions we have made, we will be even better this year.

Besides, I think PDXMan made a lot of great objective arguments. For the first time in NBA history, a 50 win team, Denver, lost in the first round. That's how competitive the West was.

If we don't judge teams on the W, then what do we judge them by? The players and the injuries? Oh come on....I can argue we'd better if James Jones wasn't injured for 30 games.

ImOnFire12 that Raptors are not better than Portland. Brandon Roy owns them every time and Aldridge is still getting better. On top of that we will have the inside presence to get rebounds and block shots which was a problem in games like this. Greg Oden will be slowing down Bosh as well.

with aldridge killin of late, rudy fernandez coming next year, a hopefully healthy oden, and of course roy, next year should be a learning process for a promising young team. health will decide the fate of these young blazers. but, if they stay healthy i look to see them contend in '10-'11. they should trade jarret jack as soon as possible as well.
