Look out Zhenya. Dasha is coming for you. Personally, I find myself enjoying watching Daria more. Her style is more frenetic, but in a good way. But there is no question that Evgenia is more precise and her technique is impeccable. But with these results, I think the judges are establishing that these two are way ahead of the pack and are very evenly matched. Next year will be very interesting, indeed.

the COP just says its an execution error, "knot without interruption of the exercise" is a .2 deduction, I'm pretty sure her difficulties still count (but I'll reread just to make sure). Still, Kanaeva had mistakes in ball too, she also lost first combination balance (i believe it was supposed to be combo and not just back scale), and 180 back flex from walkover, plus some D2 losses in hoop. I feel Kondakova should have been the winner!

@krystofha unfortunately she wasn't the best - huge mistake in ball (she almost fell) and a knot in her ribbon made her loose the gold - the final result was so close, she was 0.050 behind Kanaeva.

omg ! I am seeing the knot now ! I didn't see that knot. But Kondakova was for me number 1 with the knot too. When did she do it ? :O :D I don't see it ! :D

@krystofha she had if from 5.25 till the end - therefore I think judges didn't see it, cause she had a huge score, while her pivot and risk should not be counted with this mistake :/

that's funny the difference between her and Kanaeva is the same is between Sessina and Bessonova in 2007 xD

Wow, she was so good. Totally deserved to win...she left her heart on the carpet, while Kanaeva seemed like she was barely hanging on...Dasha is Champion in my heart. Love you Dasha!
