I beat this game some years ago. I love how everything half way through when the entire world is taken over by aliens is all just a flashback.

You are in a dream machine which collects your past memories and puts in your new body clone or w/e it is.

Then you go back and fight the big guy that can move super fast. The fight is annoying and you have to inject yourself with something to boost your ability to slow time and so does the boss. Then he does this hit where you fall on the floor...

breakdown had some amazing graphics man. yeah, interface took awhile to get used to, but after you did, it played awesomely. it has a MUCH more immersive gameplay rather than Halo and just about any other FPS's auto pick up system. You almost have to think more, fight wiser, conserve ammo, etc. and what game have you played that has a first person fighting system on the N64?!?

well Derrick does get powers. he was a test subject of some experiments, and through the game, you get the power to fight the T'lan warriors, who are essentially bullet proof, the power to shield bullets with your energy, throw energy, make shockwaves, jump high, do a jump kick, and slow time.

It's a very good game, altho i've read quite a lot of reviews telling to rent it first and then buy, so i'd suggest that to you.
