omg i'd die to have that. need a better amp than that. try it through british made vox ac30 on the normal channel with volume at 7. You'll think you'd died and gone to heaven. Im so jealous
I see you are using a Strat, but it looks like the rear and middle pickups have been replaced with humbuckles? Is that right? Thanks! Sounds really good to mate!
i want to make one rangemaster. I need photos of the circuit of your rangemaster !!!!!!!!!! please love, send me a lot of pics of the circuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's that foot effect you clicked on? The Rangemaster seems to have little if any usable effect; but when you clicked your floor effect on, your sound came alive. Rgds.
That was just to switch to the boost channel on my amp. The Rangemaster definately makes a difference, unfortunately i don't really have the skills to do it real justice.
Its the amp man. The Rangemaster is designed to push tubes into overdrive. The 8080 doesn't have power tubes. 1 preamp tube doesn't count..to each his own, but to hear the real Rangemaster "magic" check out some other demos.
@IommiFanxSG I have had one from the sixties but you can't get the batteries now. It uses a Vidor VT4 - 4.5 vols. I might as well get rid of it as I can't use it.
can i buy it from you?

@thebeastman88 sorry mate, not for sale. there's been 1 on ebay recently for £1000, didn't sell though

Funny how a rangemaster type effect just brings an amp to life. I built a clone and have it permanently switched on with my Epi Valve Jnr.

Oh and if anyone is looking for a substitute I use the classic oc44 booster by flynn amps. And its amazing. still want an original though

sacerdotiza84 1 year ago
@sacerdotiza84 yes mate, it's an original - it used to be my dads. My playing doesn't really do it justice though.

@ozi76 meh, does it justice enough!

Oops! Just saw your reply that it's an original. My bad.

guitarnlax36 3 years ago
My dad bought it in the 70's and my uncle recently found it hidden away in his garage.

I can´t undrestand. A demo is to compare.... not to masturbate.

@guitarman1432010 - The Vidor VT4 was a 9 volt battery, equivalent to an Ever Ready PP4, so you should have no problem.
