  • College days and young love -- a wonderful memory song for me!

  • kiss kiss and love each other people...life is too short not to.

  • more than a sentimental song..more flashbacks of hs and college..heartbreak, love, estrangement..damn....but a great song overall..welch is great....

  • very soothing song

  • What an amazing song, what can i say, i love it.

  • You are here an..Warm

    such a Beautiful..Song! =))

  • A REFRESHING pause from all of the damned DISCO we had to put up with back then...

  • The Fleetwood Mac version is way better. Bob covered it again so he could generate more royalties and sales... The rest of this "album" is great - Ebony Eyes, Hot Love, Cold World, Danchiva are great tunes... but go to Bare Trees for the original version of this song.....

  • wow, I can't believe I stumbled upon this song... the 70's & 80's will be a big part of who I am... and for sure its music like this that brings it back so vividly... fukin' luv it!

  • Both versions are great but I have to admit I like the "Bare Trees" version a little better.

  • Oh such a great feeling to hear your voice!

  • I'd give the rest of my life to go back when this song came out and tell Michelle C. of Lincoln High, Des Moines, Ia. how much i Loved her. If only God would tell me - where are you now, dear one? i have missed you so much, for over 33 years now. i didn't just love you - i was IN Love with you. Your hair, your jewlery, how you dressed; even the way you smelled. When you met 'someone' it broke my heart. i couldn't be your 'friend'. 1978 was a long time ago, but only if you measure it in years...

  • @RevRonL My heart goes out to you Rev. I think most of us had someone we loved and miss from those important and impressionable years of our lives. I still feel the pain from some of those days as well. I hope the Lord brings the two of you together again someday. If anyone can do it He can. One think I just learned is that she nor you will be the same after that amount of time and you may have second thoughts after meeting her. That has been one of my recent experiences.

  • @RevRonL Dude find her.if shes happy leave her alone. If shes single go for it!

  • @RevRonL

    Try friends-google or facebook!

  • @dakert40 Thank you. So far - no luck. But you never know....

  • @RevRonL I dated a girl my senior year in SW Iowa. We broke up right after I graduated. Found her two yrs ago, we married in Sept. It was meant to be. Good luck to you.

  • @upoophead Sweet - Congratulations! Michelle shall stay in my thoughts only, though often, and my heart always. Am SO happy for you both, really - just too cool. Thank you.

  • Christine McVie sings background. Nice.

  • I was 17 when this song came out. I remember dancing to this song at the Sadie Hawkins dance with the girl that asked me out. Take this song, thrown in a couple of Ambrosia tunes, a couple of Al Stewart tunes, and a little Paul Davis...nice glass of wine...hot tub...close your eyes...and drift off...

  • @oldenmcgroen It was my senior year in high school back in Detroit, and you nailed it my friend. Only difference was, we used a smoked a little herb, some Corvoissier, and dimmed lights- Talk about heaven! Lol.

  • @oldenmcgroen Exactly!

  • @oldenmcgroen Ya and I'm that girl. You got me pregant that night you SOB. Where is the child support !!!!!

  • @oldenmcgroen Friend, mind if i grab a glass of Chardonary and get on the same 'sentimental' train that you are on ? Everything you mentioned defines my high school days of 1976-1980. Music makes the memories.

  • THANKS BOB.

  • I always enjoyed Bob Welch, he was an under appreciated song writer and singer. When Lindsey came on board the energy of FM changed a lot and it was a little harder edged. Both created great stuff though.

  • Great song brings back so many good memories, being a young teenager so free and carefree, oh good times wish we could rewind time, if only for a day!!!!

  • Spirits song prevails still minus the hardship of the new ages pull at dead and dying relationships.

  • 1977 was a good year for Good Times........Thanks, Bob!

  • What a beautiful & romantic song!!!Lots of love to the only man in my life!!!

  • One of the truest form of courage is giving your love to someone even with the existing possibility that he/she might not be able to return it!!!

  • Falling in love with someone who genuinely loves you back is the most beautiful thing there is!!!

  • awesome group and song

  • This is a great pop album and one that I loved to listen to. Unfortunately I only had it on cassette and it is defunct!

  • i havent heard this song in about 25 years ;{

  • I was just 16 when this song came out. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and go relive that carefree summer.

  • Anyone else brought here by grown ups?.

  • @gcollin75 Anyone else brought here by your PARENTS/RELATIVES TAKING THE TIME TO EXPOSE YOU TO THIS CLASSIC GROWING UP?!!

  • GREAT SONG..MANY FLASHBACKS TO THOSE DAYS OF CAREFREE LIVING WITHOUT THE B.S OF POST DIVORCE AND STARTING TO MEET A NEW MATE...

  • Who is the female background singer? It sounds like Christine McVie, but not sure. Anyone know?

  • @fuzzy834 Good guess! It is Christene.

  • @fuzzy834 I just found myself he used to be a member of fleetwood mac and yes it is Christine McVie

  • let me speak for the rest of "white" pennsylvania and say that I love this song, I love life and all people are equally beautiful;>>>>>

  • @walleyrt69 Raciest ASS!!!!! Glad this upsets you!!!!

  • @pennsy6000 Do you really think I am the "Raciest"?If I am,thats a compliment!LOL

  • @walleyrt69 You know what I meant, racist F**K! Animals like you are the reason the world is so F**KED up today. And you know i'm right!

  • @pennsy6000 The reason the world is F*cked up is because we let the "Brown" people into our economies.Im old enough to remember when things were running smoothly in this country and that was when most everything was WHITE RUN!!!!BYE!

  • @walleyrt69 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHAT EVER!!!!! LOSER!!!! :-p

  • @walleyrt69 Pityful.... U are.... Im Native American, Born and raised on a Indian Reservation, I agree with you let's send all non Native American people back to Europe!!!!! Baby killers mass murders most White people dont even know who they are!!!! at least French, British, Germans are full blood white not like White trash Americans, Have no culture but KKK history cousin, sister fuckens Whiskey Tangos!!!!!!

  • @calvinjanis Ill stick with my statement. You proved my point. And I am 1/8th injun too,but Im white. So who is getting bred out?Your an Idiot!

  • Classic!!!

  • memorys of life back when we were young

  • i was 6 when this song was released. I SO LOVED growing up in the 70's!!!! I cant even imagine being stuck growing up in this time.... That was the BEST OF TIMES!!!

    A lost classic.

  • I had forgotten this song; such a good one. I am glad I found it. Thanks for this post.

  • Just look at all those lucky guys. :)

  • Great Great Love Song - brings back some very fond memories of being 24 and in love!

  • Beautiful song; beautifully done. Thank you so much for posting. I was thrilled to see it on YouTube. And don't call today's music "crap". It is what it is, and we'll see if people are still listening to it in 34 years like we are this song. That will be the test. That will say it all.

  • was this a hit in Australia?

  • sentimental cancion!!!

  • Too bad so sad; songwriters today lack vm the depth of understanding & just write something positive and meanigful.

  • @orioleman5

that's because today's young songwriters are relying too much on technology/computers etc...(i.e. LAZY)!...video games also HUGE distraction from learning their craft well. Take it from me I'm a music teacher and find it's getting harder and harder to get them to practice...becuase they're playing video games instead!!!!

  • @vracan Well sir you have my respect in such a worthy vocation; hat's off to you! 100% agree on the video games reducing brain waves to useless static!!

  • @orioleman5

Thankyou sir! But I would'nt say that video games reduce brain waves!....just that it's a powerful distraction from activities that are WAY more important in REAL LIFE!. Having said that, I too play video games from time to time and must say that as long as you don't get sucked into it's addiction, it's fine. Kid's/teenagers though have hard time controlling thier "addictions", so they should at least beware of it, cuz it's lost time they will NEVER get back!

  • what a great tune. started humming this in von's grocery store tonight and my girlfriend began "singing" the lyrics....we had to come home and see who the artist was-and what the actual song title was. good memories

  • just heard this on the show Cold Case.... man this takes me back..

  • LOVE Bob!

  • @jdoget07 true

  • @jdoget07 okay...I dont wanna live to the stuff today..and I won't

isnt it nice to have free will???

  • makes me think of my ex. who to this day will always be my 1st and only TRUE LOVE. i miss you stacey

  • Smoooooth song. Love it!

Thank you so much.

  • This is a great track.

I have it on a compilation album called "FRUITY".

It was an album released in the mid 70's by Warner Brothers.

It was a kind of "taster" album of all their artists at that time.

It also features Alice Cooper, Ry Cooder, Curved Air, Fanny, the Faces, and a load of other Bands.

This was of course the Fleetwood Mac contribution.

  • WOW!!!!! This was WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!

  • All these kissing pictures are making me... well, you know... wondering what the hell I'm doing with all my time when I could be doing this instead!

  • Love this song!

  • YEEEEEAH, THIS IS MY SONG!!!!!

  • YES IT´S TRUE!! I love so much this song!! thank you!!

  • Hit #8 pop, #10 AC in Billboard. Which 'Mac album was the song originally on? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg It's on Bare Trees

  • Thank you for posting this, my mom used to jam this song when we were kids... it brings back good memories.

  • Great melody and Lyrics..takes me back to a time when the CURRENT music was great..not like now..thaks for posting!!!

  • Love this song.Bob welch is great. F-mac would have been even better if he stayed with them.

  • Yes, Bob Welch is great. Lindsey's musical genius and Christine's melodious voice are an exquisite addition to a mesmerizing original Mac song by Bob. This is just a sample of what might have been a wonderful 6-person lineup in '75! Imagine how many more "rumors" would have made it into songs:)

  • Simply.....simply beautiful!

  • Tears sliding dowm my cheeks....thank you, my Friend.

  • @HufftownGirl this was my late sisters fav song I can see her smiling back at me everytime I hear this. Let the tears flow for sure...

  • @lockenjr she's with you still ! :)

  • @lockenjr your loved one lives on in you

  • @HufftownGirl .

it was 78 and a girl kinda chunky but so sweet ask me to take her to the prom at paramount high in paramount ,ca and we ended up at the disneyland grand hotel and danced to this and the bee gees.I am choking up and the greatest of times though are still ahead for us.

  • @harleypiper .. my playlist is timeless,we all can relate to a sentimental lady

  • love this song. the stuff we have now is junk., most of it anyway.

  • @rickylee93274 you're so right. very few songs these days come from true inspiration.

  • @rickylee93274 With some exceptions good music/rock n' roll died in 1979.

  • @depedro99 You need to get out more bro

  • @fenderstratguy I get out plenty bro, and after 40 years of hardcore music listening, playing and writing I just happen to know what I like. Don't you wish you were that fortunate! Rock, roll and soul's best years are the 60's and 70's. Period. Or does that interfere with your love of Poison, Pearl Jam or Coldplay.

  • @depedro99 I love the old music too, course, I'm 53 lol

  • @rosieprospects Well I'm 45... but my music age is more like 55>

  • @fenderstratguy I agree with you, "depedro99" really needs to get out more. I love 60s/70s music as much as anybody, but there's been a lot of great music since then, and the fact he assumes you listen to only Poison, Pearl Jam and Coldplay just shows how ignorant he is.

Check out U2, R.E.M., Crowded House, XTC, The Police, Radiohead, Tori Amos, Phish, Belle & Sebastian, Sigur Ros, The Mars Volta, Ben Folds, Midlake, Fleet Foxes, etc. -- all excellent music from the past 30 years.

  • @jhillst

Ok now tell us some great music from the last 10 years????

  • U2, R.E.M., Crowded House, XTC, The Police, Radiohead, Tori Amos, Phish, Belle & Sebastian, Sigur Ros, The Mars Volta, Ben Folds, Midlake, Fleet Foxes all pretty much suck dick.

Phish? Are you fucking serious? Belle and Sbastian? Gag me. And Radiohead is the most pretentious band to emerge in the last 30 years. Give me a break. Go back to your indie rock hole and jack off to the Decemberists.

  • @HumblePie76 If you really hate all those artists then I can't believe you actually like this Bob Welch song either, so I don't know why you're bothering to post here. I was offereing some suggestions to fans of mellow 70s rock who didn't think there was much good music out there today. It was none of your business.

P.S. All your favorite bands suck too. Nanananabooboo.

  • @depedro99: Having been born in 1970, and recalling music as far back as about '74, I'd have to agree. With the exception of Van Halen, and perhaps Foreigner 4 (as *one* ALBUM, nothing after that), "Rock" as we know it, was pretty much dead. I love "Pop", but it completely put Rock out of business by about '83 or so (VH being the exception). The only savior, has been perhaps Greenday, and a few others (more "Pop/Punk").

  • @ScottMacFie You make a good point. There are exceptions. Although even Van-Halen and Foreigner (bands I also like) had there best years before 1980. Van-Halens debut (1978) may be the best debut album ever, and if you're not familiar with Foreigner's 1st album (1977) check it out. Really good.

  • @depedro99 being a 60's buff......I like the 70's up till 74

  • Nancy, kiss me because I love you.

  • great song. instantly i'm back as a kid running around my yard. everything is pure and innocent. i love it.

  • @septip123 so true! :(

  • @septip123 Very well said ! Same here.

  • @septip123

great comment....well put...innocent song and innocent life...where did it go?

  • @septip123 if you're running barefoot, watch out for the pile of dog crap (Lady Gaga)

  • Very, very, hot and romantic clip. This world could use a lot more kisses! I first heard this song when I first got my drivers license back in 1977.

  • This reminds me when I was 15 and had a crush on a red-head named Steve Johnson. Beautiful memories. Wish I was 15 again.

  • Thanks for this

I was 14 when I fell in love with this song!

  • No doubt, with Welch, similar to The Eagles when they went with Joe Walsh, to go along with Schmidt, Henley, et al.

They DIDN'T NEED Walsh, but they set their egos aside, and addded a wonderful artist to the band.....I think with F-Mac, there were some HUGE egos, and it probably started with Lindsey and Stevie, who THOUGHT they WERE THE BAND; and for all practical purposes, they were, but why not expand your horizons???

  • I dont think that people know how to rate a video..

    Come on..its takes 1 second ..

    1 click and thats it..

    This was very well done...Thanks

  • how do you rate 1 i saw nothing 2 click on 4 rating

  • I enjoy both versions. If I had to choose I guess it would be the Bare Trees version.

This song is roughly one minute shorter and is more polished. Also Lindsey Buckingham is on guitar and backing vocals, Christine and Mick and Bob is playing bass. I like to think that this what the Mac would've sounded like if Bob had stayed. Both versions of the song are great. Enjoy!

  • I remember going to The Tower theatre in philadelphia sometime early 70's and there was two new band members. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.

I remember thinking , "who are these guys"?. They lost me that night.

  • Having heard both versions, I thought that Fleetwood Mac's was more "polished." Anyway, this is soft rock at its finest.

  • Great songwriting

  • Rare stuff right here. Bob Welch, who was with Fleetwood Mac in the lean years, before Fleetwood Mac made it really big. I love this song! Off "Bare Trees".....this vid needs more than 1754 views and this, mine, 3rd comment......too good a song......XD

  • beautiful song.

  • I agree, Misshair; Both versions are really good! I have the Fleetwood Mac version on their 4-CD Box-set, "The Chain".
