@chrisny2 - If we have a large group of passengers who speak a language apart from English as their native language, and we have a speaker of that language as part of the crew, we will often make announcements in that language too as it saves confusion with a large group of passengers. We have a large connecting market from the US via London, to all parts of Europe, so you will sometimes hear announcements in different languages.
