Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure Javelin is illegal, and has been illegal in Section 3 sports (where Mike went to high school) for 30 years, so he couldn't have done Javelin........
mike hart makes a fan out of football players because he wasn't blessed with exceptional size or speed, but he uses his intelligence for the game and effort to be the best he could possibly be.
Ohio state played illegally while hart was there. You didn't miss that. He was a great college running back with alot of Heart and never backed down. Wish he could have had the speed to play at the next level.
@ahmad312 Don't get it confused. Just because 2008-10 was way, way waaaaay below Michigan standards does not mean that 2001-07, which was merely a one WAY below standards, should be celebrated. No one should lose site of the fact that when Carr retired, Michigan was already experiencing unprecedented futility vs. OSU.
Where some of those screen passes during the Malone years, or is my memory in a haze because I don't remember Debord being that "creative" during his time.
One of my favorite Michigan players. Not fast at all, but damn, he could make plays like no other. If he hadn't missed about half his career because of injury, Michigan would've been unstoppable.
on the ncaa football games on the ps2 i would always beat my friend with michigan and hart would always break tackles left and right and he never understood how until i showed him this :p
Might not have been the quickest but IMO the best RB in Michigan football history! NEVER fumbled & could catch, as well as run. Miss Mike Hart!! GO, BLUE!!!
Need some help figuring out a play: Hart was running along the sideline and absolutely trucked who I think was a DE. Does anyone else remember this play Mike Hart had against I believe CMU (or some other cupcake, not sure). Pretty sure it was his frosh year too
Our loss to HotHotHot State was a shame for many reasons, one of which is the obscurity of Hart's long touchdown run late in the game that should have sealed the win. He couldn't outrun people, but he made a ton of people miss. That was one for the ages.
Mike Hart was one of those players. With the revolving door of college players dealing with players leaving is just part of the game but it was honestly sad to see anyone else wearing #20 after he left. Just a shame he never got to beat Ohio.
Mike Hart is one of the most inspiring players in all of college football. He's the reason I'm sad you don't include losses on your channel. Hart's clutch performance in the 2006 OSU game was nothing short of heroic in light of the hole that Michigan had dug themselves. The entire game is on hulu and I highly recommend it to any Michigan fans who want to see Hart at his best.

If he had the breakaway speed, he would have been an elite RB, but as-is he was still pretty damn good.
