James Thank you so much I'm a painter for over 30 yrs and i like your pro video my daughter needed to know how to mud and tape and your video is better than i can tell her over the phone shes out of state so this is AAA+ real Pro Thank you Thomas
Sponges are good for lots of things of course. Way back when I was told the water measurement was one coffee cup per fiver. ( the usual ceramic coffee cup) Seems to work.
Oh man, I am so glad I found your video. Thanks for all that info, cant wait to see all your videos so I can learn more. Thank you, from a framer that has started his own handyman buisness.
Thank you very much for the information, but as oyu said, not everyone knows how to prpoerly mix mud, including myself. Until now thta is. I wasn't sure if you used plaster or joint compound, and I didn't know you nedded to soften it with water for a better flow. Huge thanks!!!
Excellent details, I have to look for the blue dot too next trip to the home center. Being a contractor (different line of work) I can totally appreciate the neatness, indeed customers LOVE that and organization. They don't see a lot of things but this is one of them.
Yes, "Mud" is just a term us sheetrock finishers call joint compound. Its the same compound that you buy everywhere. "hot mud" is a term we have for "fast setting-type" compound which come in a powder form and set up within the time frame on the bag. In the United States we have compounds that come in " 20, 45, 90, 210 minute form and it is good for patching or doing small walls because it sets up quickly and allows you to do another coat without waiting for the compound to dry. Please rate!!
