I love this song. Cole Porter...must have been an alien. I was looking for this song on acoustic and found your performance among others. I like yours the best. It's beautifully simple. I think Cole Porter would love it.
I've been working up a version of this tune. I usually check youtube first and listen to all the "oldie" versions. In doing so, I thought, "I wonder how this tune would work in the key of D." The tune has been recorded in almost any key imaginable. I like your version.... good work!
@Ramadancer ... Thanks for the nice comment. I'm not sure about the model number, it only has the Gibson logo on the headstock and a serial number stamped on the inside. It's a lovely old box.
Man, This version is downright spiritual. I even love the authentic nylon string noises here. They seem just right with the mood of the piece. It's moody, old-timey and yet uplifting. Very lovely performance. Please keep arranging these classics. .
It would be great if you could tab this out - maybe you have - like most of your other material, it is beautifully timed, sustained in all the right places, you are able to give life to your songs.
I just discovered your songs on YouTube. You make the guitar sing. I love your expressiveness on this song; wonderful pace, tone, vibrato, and sustain. Lots of guitarists could play the notes, but you inject real feeling into this song.
Can you tell me the name of the song? Also what tuning are you using? DADF#AD or something else?
very nice, i wouldlove to learn to play classical. Ive seen a fiew of your videos, what classical guitars do you own. I would love to learn and any pointers would be great. I cant play guitar at all, so im very green.
Beautiful arrangment, i like a lot the voicings you use and the great musicality of your playing. The guitar has a wonderful sound very rich and with great harmonics it's probably a very old lady. Did you listen a lot to Joseph Spence and Ry Cooder ?
Haha, you got me confused. Because your right hand movement as well as your posture are completely wrong according to what a lot of classical guitar lessons say; but still you proved that you are such a great classical guitarist by being able to perform such pretty song ^^
That is just about the most beautiful version I have ever heard. This my favorite song and the Spanish guitar (unacoustic!) my favorite instrument. >Thank you, thank you. Does he have any albums out there? . . . jenny6664
Thanks, patman2112 ... that's my 1963 Gibson nylon string I'm playing. I didn't even know they made them until I found it second hand in a shop about 20 years ago.

Your playing is so good, the arrangement is superb, and you're neither typically classical, jazz or fingerstyle - where does your music originate?
Really good,

Wonderfully done and thanks. Nice audio.
Is perchance the Gibson a C-O classic? Mine was such a projecting and loud guitar as this also seems.

I loved this - just the right amount of notes throughout in the arrangement - sparse and really evocative because you didn't overplay it.

Phenomenal playing. Beautiful touch & a very smart arrangement. Do you have music or tab I could get my hands on?

Sounds a bit like an old Chet Atkins arrangement "The Other Side Of Chet Atkins" If it was that would be a good one to start with. :)

Fantastic rendition! Love it. Have you ever tried strings with polished wounds, it stops the creaky sounds. Try La Bella Golden Superiors.
