Also, I think the reason it only runs 8's is because the bike only has low end torque due to it being powered by electricity. I've seen a turbo hayabusa run 7.9 on the 1/4 mile.

You probably use a lot more gas to drive to work than this bike uses in a drag race. And if you say it doesn't use gas, you're wrong. The electricity it uses is most likel generated with fossil fuels at a power plant. The point is that the power plants are much more efficient than car engines; so, it works out to be equivalent gas milage well into the triple figures.

But electricity can come from many many sources, not just coal and many of them are much lower emissions than combustion engines. Electric cars and motorcycles are the future of personal transportation simply because the technology is already here. Cleaning up with energy PRODUCTION is one thing, but first we need to clean up energy CONSUMPTION.

People forget that you have superior torque with an electric motor. At 1 RPMs you have max tq. Batteries are the only problem. Big heavy and drain fast.
