jm8002, I did not mean anything in a bad way. I am of Indian descent. My great great Grandfather left India and went to Guyana South America, I now live in the United States. I visited India in November 2008, It has a lot of poverty and many things did not agree with me. Many things did agree with me though, like the beauty of the mandirs and shrines. but still one must remember that God resides everywhere, not only Ganga and Jamuna. or Himalayas and Kailas

great shloka!!!!!!!!!!! may godess saraswati bestow her wisdom on us. my mother's favourite shloka...now that i am abroad,alone....this shloka reminds me of sitting next to my mother in the pooja room and listning to her soothing melodious voice chanting the shloka with great humility.
