In that games your hitboxes are very small so its hard to hit you and you always have some kinda of a bomb and while using one you will clear the screen from bullets.

And most important play some Touhou games (especially on lunatic) and you will know that this is easy

If you have actually had extensive experience with bullet hell, you would know that small hitboxes and bombs do not trivialize the game (unless its Touhou 10), and that Touhou overall is not the hardest bullet hell game series.

I think another reason why people would have there guy die accidentally is because like the previous comment by "Sindal55" it ruins your focus, another reason - did you notice the illusions the bullets made? thoses were probably shot that way to confuse the player and not focus on your guy but focus on the bullets. That was probably what this player did - he focused on 3 things:

1, The spaces between bullets

2. Where the bullets were being shot

3. Where to put his guy at the right time
