For a pre owned car it's been fairly low maintenance. The Ford has had several problems including fuel pump failure, needing the gas tank replaced, and a few minor engine problem, one of which almost left us stranded in the woods. Luckily my uncle noticed something was wrong with our truck before he pulled out of the driveway to the cabin. In the meantime, the truck was also brought pre owned. So who knows how the previous owner treated it.

I'd like to see you guys do this in 2WD. It's slick mud, not deep mud. Same thing as ice VS deep snow. You'll still get stuck. You'll just get stuck of no traction, instead of getting high centered.

@Jasshands1 I live in Newfoundland myself, so I know what ya mean, I see my fair shear of people stuck. The winters now suck compared to what they use to be, people still get themselves stuck. Hell, there was this one dude who's quad broke down, I stopped and offered him a tow, but he said he had someone coming. Down the ATV trail comes this guy in a 2WD pickup lol. Backs onto a field to turn around, hits a hole... stuck.

@justinlynch3 haha yea man, Im in alberta and i drive lowered car awd car, and people are just dumb. They think sitting there and flooring it will get them out but its just makes it worse, in one week we had 5 cars , and three of them trucks stuck in a city alle way. You would think livinging here would have set there mind right but some pople are just born dumb. Even our old ford pos 2wd didnt get stuck if you drove smart. touble is not many smart poeple out there

@Jasshands1 My father has had 4 trucks now, 3 of which was 2WD. He has a standard Chev S-10 way back, 2WD, later had a GMC small pickup, 4X4. Traded that for a Chev 1500 2WD which he had for years. He now has a Ford F-150 2WD (which, I'm sad to say, is broken down... again... though it is a 99 and it's 2011 now, so I guess just age catching up to it.)

Anyway, point is, I can never recall him being stuck or needing a tow. And he would drive around in blizzards back in the day.

@justinlynch3 we had the 97 ford f150, 375 989 kiometers.... and we hauled a tons on it everyday. Transmission blew and we replaced then sold it, i saw it oday still running and sounds pretty BA although the rust is really starting to get her. I miss it, it hualed ass for a truck and it was 2wd, fastert ehn my jag oddly.

My current car is a jag, but i want to sell it. AWD is great in winter, even rwd can be good as long as you drive with sence

@Jasshands1 My father takes really good care of his trucks, there is not a speck of rust on her. But it's only had had work the past few years hauling wood, and with the money we've spent in repairing the truck/quad since, it's really not worth to cut your own wood, your just hauling the crap out of your gear. I keep telling him, we'll be much better off just buying a load every fall.

Right now we're driving a Pontiac Grand Prix. 2000 I think. Showing some rust along bottom, but runs good.

@Jasshands1 Yea this salt/sand mix they have up here really eats away at cars after a while. The Grand Prix is a nice car for it's price, fully loaded, power everything, front wheel drive, CD player (which is standard now). Although since this past winter, the traction control won't engage. Also the wipers are stuck to on, you turn them full off, and they stick up, they won't go down. So driving around the wipers are usually set to mist. But, it's a fully working car, which is what counts.

just to let you know this is not a regular tahoe this is the z71 tahoe. it has bigger & better shocks,painted fender flares,different rims with a lil more aggresive tire and im not sure but i think maybe a locking rear diff.

God this thing again lol. I had to drive this around before i got my trans am. It was my moms truck it's a 2004 tahoe z71. I had So much fun with this thing. Took it through water, drove up hills with mud (which i never got up lol) it's bone stock with 99,xxx miles. I took it through unplowed snow. I beat the shit outta that truck lol. It was nice and actually performed pretty awesome off road. Except going uphills really not it's thing lol.
