first of all, raiders are nice, but doesn't have the get up and go like a victory, i raced my victory with my buddy on his raider, and it was no competition
I'm an "idiot" that has ridden ALL kinds of bikes, maybe a tricked out Victory could maybe pull a hole shot on a crappy rice burner if he had one spark plug wire pulled off. I currently own a Raider 1900 which will smoke anything Victory ever made including the HD V-Rod but would NEVER stand a chance against ANY modern rice burner 600 cc up, Just a stone cold fact. The guy on this vid is either sand bagging or just stoned. It's common sense people. Big V cruisers are NOT dragsters!
Its not where you start boys. Its where you finish. The R1 is simply a more powerful and sportier bike. But then, the Vegas will give a better long ride though.
whos kidding who..........only an american would believe those results.......suggest the the gentleman on the yamaha learns to launch his bike properly......next thing somebody will suggest the victory is capable of winning a superbike race......any doubters look up the time for a Hyabusa suzuki or zx 1400 s o-100 k times
again more media hype, just go to the drag strip, NOT a public street with unknown riders and conditions and ask anyone. You will be laughed. The massive torque produced by the v-twin just barely makes up for the massive weight of the bike therefore cancelling out any advantage. Just the set up of the motor and transmission make it a poor drag bike. Keep it up though I'm sure there are plenty of newbies that buy your fake video and outlandish claims and opinions. You know the truth.
You MUST work for Victory. I have ridden with them and see them to be only a little faster than a Hardly. N E V E R outrun an R1 with me on it. Not an 1/8 mile not the first 3 feet, not at all E V E R. This is NOT an opinion this comes from a seasoned street rider and drag racer. This is just media hype for the Victory, nice try though.
@dynatimmer youre full of crap. There is no way the R1 will smack the torque of a big Vtwin over the first few hundred meters. Ive owned both and the R1 sure does have some way out balls. It will out handle and out accelerate the big twin once it hits its straps but the torque of the twin beats the hp of the inline 4 from a standing start.....I will gladly take your bet on the weeks wages.
This is a complete BS video, NO street legal V-twin is gonna beat an R1 off the line PERIOD. I own a Yamaha Raider 1900 I know all about torque but the fastest bike I have owned as far as quarter mile is an old 2 stroke Yamaha RD350. I would put a weeks salary on that my friends.
Love that RD-350, RD-400 was even better, but I'd take that bet right now. Used to ride one way back and a buddy has an RD-400 right now, so I've riden one recently. It's quick for a small bike, but the Vic has way more torque. Top end, no question, and even in this video the R-1 catches me at about 1/8 mile, but I had shut down already after blowing 1st to 2nd shift twice - I was trying to speed shift and the transmission wouldn't let go w/o the clutch.
@dynatimmer you sir, are an idiot. brother in law owns a hammer, watched him at the speedway a couple different times, smashed r1's r6's and a dood with a gxsr 750, for whole shot that is

LOL I'm sorry but a stock R1 will put down a quarter mile in 9.8 seconds, your stock Victory does it in low 13's, high 12's if you know what you are doing. Unless you put a turbo or nitrous system on there you can do all the mods you want and you wont drop 3 seconds off your time. So, despite the fact that I love Victory's and they are great bikes, you're not even close to beating ANY liter bike! Maybe a 600 but a 1000, yeah right.
Well, it has a few external mods that push the HP up quite a bit. And the trick is, with the long frame and 280 rear tire, it launches a lot harder than any sport bike. But you're correct, on top end when HP takes over, it's all over. If I could just get another 3K rpm out of that engine....siiiiigh
Hahaha look at all these douches getting but hurt!! haha All i can say is line up with a jackpot and see what happens!! And i'm not a sport biker!! not anymore!! haha I only bought it cause i couldn't afford a victory at the time!! Yes a victory could never beat an r1 top speed. but zero to 50mph later R1. You guys gotta realize its comparing apples to oranges.... inline 4 cylinder vs a v-twin... not as much hp but way more torque!! The only bike i would ever buy now is a victory. They are nice!
Sorry man, victorys a fast ass bike!!! I lost to an 07 jackpot ness edition on my 03 zx6rr. It was not stock but niether was my bike. And then i sold the bike 4 months later and now looking for a victory!!! hahaha I'd take a victory over a harley 9 times out of 10!!!
Cool, your gaping chrome asshole beat a superbike in a 40 ft stretch. I highly doubt this would end the same on a 1/4 mile, let alone a proper bike bike race. have fun scraping your overpriced chrome pegs and not showering.
@napalmmotorsports suzuki, kawi and all the sport bike companies have used ram air for almost ten years. they have proven and it has been tested that ram air is NOT effective until your exceeding 100+ mph. you may say very effective but unless you can be doing something that these billion dollar companies can not do...all your hearing is air being drawn down the tubes. the volumectric efficiency is still the same....
Prove that you can beat it on the track not some shitty video and a bad excuse. You can't do it. Keep talking out your ass Hillbilly!!! There's nothing to suck up. That was a shitty video that showed nothing but an R1 pulling away from your POS after the launch.
This guy obviously talks a lot about shit he has no clue about. Your Victory can not beat that R1, it's at least got pipes on it, so it's not stock, and you can't ride it worth a damn. Sorry but you lose. Physics is a tough subject to prove wrong, but I see you think you're capable. I'll give you the jump off the line every time, but you'll never beat an R1 with a stock Victory, it's not possible. And they will never find a cure for your level of retarded.
There is no brake light evidence to show you hit the brakes. Wrong angle. And if you want sportbike guys to stop bitching, then stop acting like your bike is faster. It's not possible for your stock Victory to beat an R1. I have a Hammer and a CBR1000RR and my RR will destroy my Hammer.
Sorry but it looks like the R1 rode around you about 330ft out, Im pretty sure by the 1/8th this guy would have had you and after that it was all over. It appears you are both good riders its just your bike is not that fast, quick yes not fast though. Good race though! I love both bikes, Ill probably be adding a Victory to my garage someday soon(currently own a 636 Kawi).
Take a look at my brake light. It illuminates immediately after I land the front end.
I usually dont pre heat the tire and that time I used VHT and pre-heat. The bike was on the way to a blow over so I chopped the throttle. In turn, that slammed the front end and I blew 1st to 2nd so I just killed the run and let the yomamaho on by. He knew I owned his ass.
@napalmmotorsports You owned his ass to maybe 60. R1 wasnt even out of first gear or barely out of first gear. Get video you owning one in the 1/4 then come back here bragging. Or get a time slip and we can compare it to my little 636.
We were about 1/16 when he passed me and I had already hit the brakes and backed down off the throttle. But, the real point of the video is, that's a Vic with completely stock internals; a 750lb American customer cruiser built for style and looks, and still look at what she can do to a race bike. You can park an R1 anywhere and no one will look twice, that girl stops traffic everywhere she goes.
@napalmmotorsports Dude sounds like a bitch... Those faggy little rice rockets are fast but they aren't the fastest... Besides... Nothing screams homo like a faggy little motorbike...
hey gohma, dont knock the 250mm tire. i just got a new hammer 8-ball and it is sweet. it actually handles better than the vegas does. i know several others that say the same thing. and it looks great going down the road.
When you change tires, try the Metzler 880. You can actually bump to a 260 or 280 mm rear for an even more outrageous look. But, more to the point, the Metzler handles GREAT. The have a better radius on the edge and they're dual compound with soft outter rubber, so they stick like chewing gum on a hot sidewalk.
Check out the Kingpin. Has the 180 rear tire, but with inverted forks, a 6 speed OD, and a 106 4 valve engine. Great handling, Tons of HP! And most Vic dealers have a great test ride program.
napalmmotorsport - I watched it 4 times, and everytime I see it, I notice something different. Then, finally, I concluded that you decided to slow down after seeing the speed limit sign. hahahahaha
Look at the brake light on the Victory Jackpot. The bike was heade for a blow over, so I chopped the throttle midway through the wheelie (thus the hard landing). Then, I missed the 1st to 2nd shift, so I just shutdown after launch and let the R1 go.
That was the first time I'd ridden Mariah after adding the ram air and MSD's and didn't expect the dramatic change. PD has said no more drag racing so next time we have to go to the strip (over 100 miles away). Soon.
the guy riding the R1 has no clue how to launch...You HAVE to rev past 600rpm to get the computer to open the throttle bodys fully. The clutch should be slipped from 8000 to get a great launch on the street with the front wheel JUST skimming the ground.
If launched correctly it would have a been a proper race. But the R1 would have won.
obviously you havent ever rode a wheelie. Started to come over means you get the tire off the ground more than 6 inches. i got a stretched out 750 that would leave you like nothing. you got any time slips to prove what you say about beating a rocket??
Well rocket man, take a good look at the front wheel when it's up. That's a 21" OD front. The bike was up half that and still coming over hard when I chopped the throttle. I just didn think the VHT would make that big a difference - we've always used water. Turns the tire to bubble gum. Yeah, I've ridden a wheelie, once, but it was a really long time back. There's always a faster bike, but if you're near Austin, bring that bad rice burner around and we'll find how bad it really is.
Tire had been spinning out on prior runs so I I preheated the rear tire with a burn out using VP Racing Fuels VHT. Didn't try test launch- Surprise - off the line started to come over. Chopped the throttle and shut down immediately - see my brake light come on as I land. Would have been close run, but with current mods, Mariah (Vic Vegas Jackpot) will take stock R1 easily through 1/8, maybe the 1/4. Shut it!
Yeah, a R1 can run low 10s in a 1/4, with a professional RIDER! the average Joe can't ride a bike like that fast, or take off that fast without flipping it over. The victory has 100lb of torque, the R1 has 73. The victory can pull away faster and harder without worry of flipping..as seen in the vid. don't sleep on the cruisers if you can't ride your sport bike like a pro, Hell a pro on a R6 would beat you too.
Best guess is yes. I've never been beat by ANY twin of any make in Austin. I need a bit more on the the 2nd half of the 1/4 mile for the really fast 4 cylinder rice rockets, so I'm in the middle of a fairly big build out that should bring it to the high 10's - but again, we'll see when I get it done. It pretty damn fast even now.
The R1 rider knows what he's doing - he left as hard as the bike would go and not spin out or wheelie. I missed a shift and he caught me at half track. Unfortunately no time for a 2nd run. We have another planned as soon as I complete Phase II of my build out (110 Cube kit, 11:1 Wiseco pistons, ported and flowed heads, electric supercharger.
I want to thank EVERYONE at Victory and Arlen Ness for giving me this laugh. I can't stop. I'm in tears and my stomach hurts! OMG! Thanks! ROTFLMAO!!!
U cunts r fucking retarded, maybe get some1 who can jet off the line on that r1 and see what happens!

Indeed .. with a long frame and a bit or torque you will get the drop on an R1 for about 20 feet... then its gone ......
nothing but a rocket motor would make that bike take a sportsbike on the 1/4...
I can just take guys on similar bikes on my b-king .. and its pushing almost 80hp more than your bike with 50kg less.. so lets keep it real..
Its a very nice cruiser .. and 'feels' quick .. but it aint no performance bike..

Then, finally, I concluded that you decided to slow down after seeing the speed limit sign. hahahahaha

after 1 block the R1 flies past him though.

Sho Nuff.
Soon.
napalmmotorsports 2 years ago
the guy riding the R1 has no clue how to launch...You HAVE to rev past 600rpm to get the computer to open the throttle bodys fully. The clutch should be slipped from 8000 to get a great launch on the street with the front wheel JUST skimming the ground.
If launched correctly it would have a been a proper race. But the R1 would have won.

@nidyanazo2
Arm chair quarterbacking.
The guy on the R1 know how to ride, if you frame by frame you'll see the front tire just above the ground as he launches
napalmmotorsports 2 years ago
Like I said, that was a improper launch.
There is a fine line to walk between a massive wheelie or bogging the engine; that bike could have done better.
aydinvideo 2 years ago
@aydinvideo
That goes for both of us.
I blew the 1st to 2nd shift after having to chop the throttle to pull the front of the bike back down.

v65 and vmax would beat the victory. v4 vs v twin. the vic did pretty good though. it's a great looking bike that performs quite well.
boywaimea 2 years ago
VMax yes
V65 I doubt it
napalmmotorsports 2 years ago
i own the vmax and owned the v65. i think the vic could beat both off the line.

@boywaimea
Hmmmmmm
Maybe
napalmmotorsports 2 years ago
street racing doesn't prove anything. the true test of an R1 is in the turns, not 1/4. v65 magna or vmax would smoke any Vic in the 1/4.
RosieKR 2 years ago
Not that Vic, but youre absolutely right about the R1, it's not a drag bike. FINALLY, Someone gets it!
Good job

obviously you havent ever rode a wheelie. Started to come over means you get the tire off the ground more than 6 inches. i got a stretched out 750 that would leave you like nothing. you got any time slips to prove what you say about beating a rocket??
dpranke41 2 years ago
Well rocket man, take a good look at the front wheel when it's up. That's a 21" OD front. The bike was up half that and still coming over hard when I chopped the throttle. I just didn think the VHT would make that big a difference - we've always used water. Turns the tire to bubble gum. Yeah, I've ridden a wheelie, once, but it was a really long time back. There's always a faster bike, but if you're near Austin, bring that bad rice burner around and we'll find how bad it really is.

R1 versus Vic Vegas Jackpot
Jackpot has a new ram air and MSD twin coils.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
stock 2006 R1: 175 hp @ 12,500 rpm
u are what? 100 hp @ 6k
the R1 would beat you if he pulled a plug wire on one of the cylinders and he missed 2 shifts.
dayanks311 3 years ago
100 Cube Vic, stock block engine with Napalm Ram Air, MSD ignition coils, and a set of pipes - otherwise stock at this run.
Stay tuned for more from Napalm as we build this Victory Vegas (Mariah) up for the next run.

So how quick is this bike in the 1/4 mile? A low 12 @ 110 mph?
Karat6 3 years ago
Best guess is yes. I've never been beat by ANY twin of any make in Austin. I need a bit more on the the 2nd half of the 1/4 mile for the really fast 4 cylinder rice rockets, so I'm in the middle of a fairly big build out that should bring it to the high 10's - but again, we'll see when I get it done. It pretty damn fast even now.

i think the vic would do pretty good especially with 100 pounds of torque? have you raced the triumph rocket 3?
boywaimea 2 years ago
@boywaimea
Not yet...
napalmmotorsports 2 years ago
That was a real slow launch by the R1. An R1 can launch way harder than that. And once rolling I suspect that the R1 pulls away easily.
Karat6 3 years ago
The R1 rider knows what he's doing - he left as hard as the bike would go and not spin out or wheelie. I missed a shift and he caught me at half track. Unfortunately no time for a 2nd run. We have another planned as soon as I complete Phase II of my build out (110 Cube kit, 11:1 Wiseco pistons, ported and flowed heads, electric supercharger.
