I remember when our mini schnauzer, Kaylie, was that little!!! She was smaller than that when we got her because she was a runt! Ours is a phantom color, she will be 6 in may! Time flies! but she is still really hyper and never runs out of energy but extremely smart!!!

Awwwww! I have a Schnauzie myself :) Those dogs are something else. Mine is about 2 1/2 now, his name is Henry. Your dogs are soooo cute. Definitely a father-son relationship I see. I am a huge fan of Schnauzers as you can tell hahaha. I have a couple videos of my doggie if you wanna check 'em out. Anyways, I hope your schnauzers are still spunky :)

@dcomusic I am considering a play mate for my havanese boy. That would be girl mini schnauzer, I like them very much, it just seems to me that they overgrow playfulness pretty fast. Am I making a mistake?

@Ms777Lena How old is your havanese? After a few years dog's spunkiness dies down, but a playmate may give them something to do. However, Schnauzers are very territorial so she may not get along with your havanese when she's a baby. They usually learn to be good around other dogs. Is your havanese neutered? If not, that will DEFINITELY be a problem, unless you want puppies. Lol.

@dcomusic Haha I will definitely neuter both of them. I am just waiting for him to get a bit older. He is 8 months now. Very young and very exuberant little dog :). I am going to be the owner of the territory so they won-t have nothing to fight about :), I am not inexperienced dog owner. I have Airdale terrier, 9 years now, and he brought back to youth but she is not as playful as he is and, she is staying with my parents, he is coming to my apartment where he will need a friend..

@Ms777Lena Good. Even though it is obviously YOUR house your dog may be a bit uncomfortable with other dogs entering their home. Like, how would you feel if some argumentative stranger just started living in your house without asking you? Violated, probably. Do please take that into consideration. Maybe you can bring your havanese to the breeder's house so he can meet your new pup to see if they get along well. You ARE buying from a breeder, right? Not a puppy mill? I hope not.....

@dcomusic Nooo, I would never do that. I am buying from a breeder, of course, and the good one. I did good research. this one is really good and responsible breeder. And my intention was to introduce them to each other in the neutral space, to walk them together first and to bring them in to my home together, in the same time. This is going to help. My Havanese will like the company, I am positive on that, and the little one is already get used to have a company.

@Ms777Lena Oh great. :) When I was a kid my parents bought a puppy from a store and he had a "screw loose". He didn't have rabies, but he sure acted like it. He bit me...he was just snappy. Cute, but snappy. He was a little Cocker Spaniel. Anyways, good luck and keep me posted about your new puppy :) Congrats :)

Yo tuve un Schnauzer cerca de 8 años hasta que enfermò y a pesar de hacer todo lo posible por salvarlo, muriò. De eso ya 4 años, pero siempre lo recuerdo con mucho amor y pues no mentirìa al decir que los años junto a mi Schnauzer fueron los mejores años de mi vida, era un Schnauzer Mediano y se llamaba Kenny. =)
