  • i heard from the force feed that a sc2 risk edition is coming out! so im just seeing what to expect because ive never heard of it

  • Austrialasia... too much diplomacy eh;)

  • i got to admit that risk and monopoly are alot of fun...

  • Australasia

  • lol thats not USA, thats the US, Canada, and Central America

  • @StickmenBattles Yes, but USA is the only country that matters. Nobody knows Canada exists except for the US, and that's because you live right next to us.

  • @PoetsLight Thats sort of a HUGE lie. The US, however, is undoubtedly the cockiest country in the world, and probably thinks that the telephone and the lightbulb were American inventions, despite the fact that Bell had a dual citizenship (u probly dont know what that is either) and that Edison actually bought the lightbulb off of a Canadian. Canada also supported the US in the Cold War, capturing spies and halting Russian spy circles. I could go on and on about areas where Canada beat the US.

  • @StickmenBattles but you won't go on because it ends there lol...Canada has proved to be a WORTHLESS country throughout world history.

  • @Celica13850 You are American, aren't you? Canada has never been useless. The only reason Americans seem to think so is because they don't study any history exept for its own glorious stories. Learn some real history kid

  • @StickmenBattles can you suggest a reference where we can infrom ourselves about canada's significance? (i dare you)

  • @StickmenBattles Canada played a huge role in American history throughout the 18th and 19th century.

  • @PoetsLight Well Canada had control of Washington for a day in the War of 1812.

  • i've got 2008 edition

  • 63 edition dam, i like the 80's version myself

  • @21Blitz :)

  • @21Blitz u idiot its damn go back to third grade

  • whats twin world? :O

  • @tylermoore94 Its quite good fun. You set up two games simultaneously and link them via "portals" which are areas of land on the board - perhaps Argentina or China for example. Any force in the portal can attack the designated receiving portal in the other board. (usually the same place in the other board but choose wherever if you like). It can lead to imbalances in each world - so more to think about.

  • "australasia"

  • @GetSiked is the Collective term for Australia and South East Asia (Indonesia & PNG)

  • @GetSiked that and the U.S.A. is a continent

  • insult every other player( who will not embrace the fascist junta of glorious militarism!) as a slimey hermaphroditic worm who deserves to get stomped on and squished under the fascist jackboot yelling at them "big brother of oceania has finally conqueored the human orgasm!"

  • while one plays black in the dorms (u.w. madison) with a case of beer...bring a tattered copy of benito mussolini or sir oswald mosley...(wearing a black turtle neck your self) go on an endless rant (in your best red dwarf arnold j rimmer voice) about the militaristic glory of napoleon bonaparte...and the beautiful ideology of dynamic futurismo!...non-stop...unrelenting lectures to your fellow players...foam at the mouth...

  • @pokerhandof5jokers ha ha. Might try this at my next game....

  • "i am back in my fascist black!" ...after I invade you...i chop the heads off your nuns and priests

  • dear fellow members of the risk religion cult...please take a globe of the earth and flip it over south pole up!...please add antarctica to your risk game and lines to argentina and new zealand!...thus south america can invade antarctica and then new zealand (or australia can attack via antarctica to australia!) / @ milwaukee

  • Speaking as a Canadian, that's "the good old North America".

Risk is a good, but not great game. I prefer a game with more complexity and a way to win other than just eliminating all opponents.

Ultimatum is a better game, and several better empire-building games have come out in the last 20 years.

  • @ORCA4312 Ah but have you ever played risk where only a limited number of reinforcements are given when a set of cards is played? That's a much more strategic game and plays more like the classic "diplomacy". We assign 7 for inf set, 8 for cav, and 9 for mixed.

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom I agree that the limited armies for card sets makes it a better game. Unfortunately, it also means eliminated players are often sitting around waiting for the game to end longer.

It's not like I hate Risk (unlike Monopoly) or anything - it's just that there are a lot of games I would rather play.

  • 2:00 LOL! Australiasia? It's called the oceana mate :)

  • @lafty1970 ha ha - yeah I know, all I need now is to talk about world war 2 and put in a fake film grain yellowy effect and it will be perfect!

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom LOL. Talk about the RAF and the Battle of Britain.

  • @ORCA4312 I thought of doing that for the Avalon Hill game - D-Day. I might just go for humour on that one.

  • Can you do Axis and Allies?

  • @Gerstein1 Axis and Allies - I remember the game. Its an Avalon Hill Classic. Sadly I don't have a copy, so I couldn't give any tactics away. Do you play this game?

  • @HistoryGamerDotCom Yes I do, but I rarely play with anyone but myself considering the complexity and difficulty teaching quickly. I suggest getting the revised edition if you can find it (out of stock) or Axis and Allies 1942 because it's only worth $30. I highly suggest researching it, and taking a look at brisulph's talkthrough on it. Also, I do play risk with a crowd more simply because it is a lot easier to teach.

  • @Gerstein1 - One of the members of my games club may have a copy. I'll ask him. Thanks for the info.
