Good point about mothers who die prematurely. That research should be publicized. As from my previous note, I thank God that the doctors and nurses reacted so quickly in our case and weren't delayed by numbers crunched into an equation to determine whether it was worth doing or not.

I remember holding my son, while the doctors rushed my wife to intensive care due to complications she experienced after the delivery. On Eagle's Wings was one of the songs I sang to him. People... Think! If you had an abortion, think of some things. You just destroyed any potential of life of that person. I take back my statement that I knew no one who has had an abortion. In 1997, I was hospitalized for anxiety and depression. One of the girls who was in the adolescent unit with me (I was 16 at the time, now I'm 30) got pregnant as a result of a rape committed by her own abusive father. An ovum and sperm are potential life. An embryo is life already, as it has it's own DNA in it's own living cells. True, a fetus cannot survive "on it's own" before 20 to 22 weeks gestation, however, I would argue that a newborn baby cannot survive on it's own either.

I just heard this song it is beautiful. It makes me think of the sister I never knew. She died in 1986 she was still born. The doctors thought it was my mom bleeding but it was my sister the umbellical cord came unattached and she bled to death. She would be 24 now 2 years older than me. I know god is taking care of her and one day I will get to see her and know what my sis looks like.

Leave it there and risk septic poisoning and die, or have a therapeutic abortion.

The baby's placenta attached around the IUD and she lost the baby at 5 months. She still mourns him. The IUD is often very dangerous to mother and baby if pregnancy occurs. It's a very hard question. I want to say, "Yes, abortion should be illegal," however, with the attitude of the times, I fear that making it illegal may only force the millions of women who get abortions to seek illegal/dangerous abortions and, therefore, not only would their babies die, they would also be at risk. Therefore, I am a proponent of education. Meaning, that women who seek abortion should receive counseling.
@Starlitshores You make a good point, but the average abortionist just doesn't want a baby so I doubt they would kill themselves when they could just leave the baby at an orphanage.
This counseling would be provided, not by the abortion providers who would make money off the procedure, but by a third party who would give info on fetal development, resources to help a woman through her pregnancy, and a description of what will happen during abortion, not only to her but to the fetus. It is a taboo to talk about, but women deserve to know the truth. This video is a memorial, not for edu. purposes. Check out my "What happens during abortion" series.
Abortion should be unthinkable. Eventually, as the science of fetal development become more widely understood, I believe less and less women would seek abortions. No matter what, however, abortions after 20 weeks should be illegal. If needed, induce premature labor, give the baby a chance. Yes, the chance may only be 50/50 for the baby's survival but it is better than murdering a child who may have survived otherwise. In this late term cases, abortion is not safer than delivery.
What boggles my mind is how these doctors can live with themselves as they are trained in all the details of fetal development. At 18-24 days the heart starts beating, 5 to 6 weeks there are fingers and toes, 8 to 9 weeks the fetus responds to touch. Many of these babies over 10 to 12 weeks, flee the abortion machine. Fetuses have been known to violently push away amniocentesis needles. Babies being aborted at the end of the second trimester can be heard crying if air enters the uterus.
I speak out for this because these babies have no voice and woman are all too often misinformed about their babies. When I was 14 weeks pregnant my baby was waving his arms and jumping and even sucking his thumb! I legally could've gone to a clinic and gotten an abortion to kill the him right then. Women and babies deserve better.

Good point about mothers who die prematurely. That research should be publicized. As from my previous note, I thank God that the doctors and nurses reacted so quickly in our case and weren't delayed by numbers crunched into an equation to determine whether it was worth doing or not.

Thank you very much for posting this video. My wife and I lost our son stillborne after a 6 months pregnancy in 2008. I remember holding my son, while the doctors rushed my wife to intensive care due to complications she experienced after the delivery. On Eagle's Wings was one of the songs I sang to him. We walk with Christ daily, but at that time he carried us through our pain. Thanks again for such a lovely video. I see that He found a wonderful person to let his Love shine through.

I was just reading the comments. This video is to honor the infants whose lives were taken by abortion, miscarriage, or other means. I take back my statement that I knew no one who has had an abortion. In 1997, I was hospitalized for anxiety and depression. One of the girls who was in the adolescent unit with me (I was 16 at the time, now I'm 30) got pregnant as a result of a rape committed by her own abusive father. She decided to end the pregnancy, rather than have a baby with the 'father-grandfather.' Starlite, do you honestly feel that she was unjustified, and should have opted for the latter????

@Jibjub80 A bud is part of a tree, with the same genetic makeup as the tree on which it is sprouting. A seedling tree is a tree with different genetic makeup and is, indeed, a tree. An ovum and sperm are potential life. An embryo is life already, as it has it's own DNA in it's own living cells. True, a fetus cannot survive "on it's own" before 20 to 22 weeks gestation, however, I would argue that a newborn baby cannot survive on it's own either.

@Jibjub80 The question becomes, where do we draw the line at person and non-person? Throughout history we have used race, class, and even sex to draw this line. Now we use age. Can we really say that a baby is less alive the second before birth than the second after? I have a child and at my fourteen week ultrasound, I saw him bouncing and touching his hand to his mouth. The thing that I am most concerned about is that, like you, I believe that the science of pregnancy should be understood.

@Jibjub80 Science an prove that the embryo/fetus has a heart beat 18 to 24 days after conception, hands at feet by five weeks after conception, and can respond to touch 8 weeks after conception. Shouldn't women be aware of this information? Shouldn't they be shown their ultrasounds so that they may fully understand what abortion will be doing? Many women have abortions then later painfully regret it once they realize these facts, often after seeing ultrasounds of future children.

And to compare killing a fetus to eating meat and animal products is ridiculous. Humans are omnivores we have four canine teeth which are meant for meat eating. Modern farms you would know that animals are put down using tools designed specifically to give the quickest possible death. Animals aren't people, nature has a food chain, humans are atop the food chain.

Yes, they are. A lot of mothers commit abortion because they are told the baby will have a disability. 99% of the time, this is a lie. If you had to choose, would you rather have a disability, or would you prefer to die? A fetus is an unborn child. If that child dies, anything they might do in the future, like make a cure for cancer, will never happen. Also, the biggest problem when a mother decides to have her child, is that she can't part with it afterward, to give the child up for abortion.

No, it's the truth that causes harm to them. If they're going to go through with an abortion they should know exactly what is happening.
Take, for example, partial birth or lte term abortions. The "doctors" initiate real labour, and the baby is partially born. Then, when its head is experiencing its first independent breath of air the "doctor" sticks a vacuum through the throat and sucks the brains out. Then-heres the kicker-the woman finishes labor, giving birth to a mutilated, dead, baby.

I just heard this song it is beautiful. It makes me think of the sister I never knew. She died in 1986 she was still born. The doctors thought it was my mom bleeding but it was my sister the umbellical cord came unattached and she bled to death. She would be 24 now 2 years older than me. I know god is taking care of her and one day I will get to see her and know what my sis looks like.

This is my main objection to abortion:
This is a true story; when I was born, I was horribly deformed. Massive syndactyly was the least of it. My parents knew I was going to turn out like this; they knew it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix it; they knew I would live a really difficult life,even if I had all the surgery I needed; and by extension, I would screw them over, too.
They allowed me to be born anyway. Now I am a mostly functional member of society.

So you're saying there is NO justification ever for abortion? . I became pregnant, unknown to me for five months, I did not show..had no symptoms until one day I started to feel sick. I went to the doctor and we found out my child had grown around the IUD in my womb. When the doctors removed the IUD, pieces of the baby came out with it. Now I had a chance. Leave it there and risk septic poisoning and die, or have a therapeutic abortion.

Irishqueen, I'm sorry for your loss. If "pieces of the baby" came out does this mean the baby had already died? My grandmother had an IUD and got pregnant. The baby's placenta attached around the IUD and she lost the baby at 5 months. She still mourns him. The IUD is often very dangerous to mother and baby if pregnancy occurs. This video is to remember your baby, not to call you a murderer. This is a terrible circumstance, I hope you can hold your baby in heaven.

It's a very hard question. I want to say, "Yes, abortion should be illegal," however, with the attitude of the times, I fear that making it illegal may only force the millions of women who get abortions to seek illegal/dangerous abortions and, therefore, not only would their babies die, they would also be at risk. Therefore, I am a proponent of education. Meaning, that women who seek abortion should receive counseling.

This counseling would be provided, not by the abortion providers who would make money off the procedure, but by a third party who would give info on fetal development, resources to help a woman through her pregnancy, and a description of what will happen during abortion, not only to her but to the fetus. Abortion should be unthinkable. Eventually, as the science of fetal development become more widely understood, I believe less and less women would seek abortions. No matter what, however, abortions after 20 weeks should be illegal. If needed, induce premature labor, give the baby a chance. Yes, the chance may only be 50/50 for the baby's survival but it is better than murdering a child who may have survived otherwise. In this late term cases, abortion is not safer than delivery.

What boggles my mind is how these doctors can live with themselves as they are trained in all the details of fetal development. At 18-24 days the heart starts beating, 5 to 6 weeks there are fingers and toes, 8 to 9 weeks the fetus responds to touch. Many of these babies over 10 to 12 weeks, flee the abortion machine. Fetuses have been known to violently push away amniocentesis needles. Babies being aborted at the end of the second trimester can be heard crying if air enters the uterus.

I speak out for this because these babies have no voice and woman are all too often misinformed about their babies. When I was 14 weeks pregnant my baby was waving his arms and jumping and even sucking his thumb! I legally could've gone to a clinic and gotten an abortion to kill the him right then.
