  • I actually miss the winter storms of Ontario, the ones that would scare the shit out of you while driving.

Living just below the Arctic Circle is just depressive. Snow, extreme cold, frostbite wind, more snow, wide open space..it's basically Saskatchewan but colder and more North.

  • I'd take -40 over the endless sleet and huge storms we had in Halifax.

  • wtf, act normal?? i didnt even say that that Canada got such low temps everywhere, get yourself together fool. Interior Canada is a fucking fridge and you know it...i got friends in Edmonton and they had -50 this winter...

  • yeah wind chill

  • Well, maybe it's because of the fog, but it kind of looked depressing. I'm sure that Yellowknife has a lot to offer, just in this vid, it was quite gray. Hmmm...-40'C.

So I have a question: Is 'ice fog' the same as 'ice crystals'? Just typing those terms seems so foreign to me...I'm crying at -10 here...but everyone's different;).

  • Yes ice crystals is the same thing. - 10 is balmy for us in the winter.

  • I see it's -8 there today, so I'm guessing that is a 'heat wave'? lol. Well, I hope you enjoy your warmer temps!

I know for sure I couldn't handle more than -10... as embarrassing as this is, for Toronto we get 'cold weather alert' for -15:). Yes, you probably laugh at us....o well.

Well, I hope it doesn't get to -40 anytime soon then...stay warm!

  • And -16 is actually pretty 'mild' for Yellowknife isn't it...

But ya, I think that Vancouver is a little above average too? (Just a little, but still above)...

  • are we moving towards ice age?who says india is cold?jesus ths is sumthing, wonder how pple cope up in such places, salute to all u guys

  • Too 'foggy'....

  • haha and I thought england was cold

  • nice video, i dont think any of these ppl know how cold it is until they actually walk in this weather. On a good day i could walk down the street and every little hair will be frosted , no place like home hahah

  • This is insane, and i thought that it was cold in Norway in the winter :O Here in southern norway it is usually between -5 and +10 Celcius, the coldest ive ever experienced here is -14, so i admire you canadians coz i dont know how you handle yourself in -30 and such, respect!

  • then u havent been in northen Norway. where Norways border to russia is coldest ever recorded there was minus 66 degree celsius

  • @TheLampard89 Big jackets, man, big big jackets :D

  • sweaters in -15? they are crazy! Im in calgary and if the temp drops to 0 everybody freaks out and wears heavy jackets lol.

  • Hello Bozmeg1969

I must take you to task for comparing duster to an orangutan. Orangutans are a intelligent and social animal that live in peace within their complex social order. Comparing duster to an organutan is a grave offense to the orang community. I think a baboon would be more accurate.

Also this is an awesome video.

    Thanks

  • Why would anyone want to live there?

Come to Toronto, its warmer here, its better in general.

  • toronto sucks man.

  • toronto is better then that bucket of frozen water

  • By the way, do you want to have grammar match, you dick loving bitch?

Let me guess you have no real friends, that is why you have time to be on youtube everyday

  • BTW when you put a video on youtibe it is open for public review so eat my ass if you dont like the review(you are still gay)

  • all work and no play make johnny a dull boy

  • Warning! Rattling the orangutan`s cage might inspire him to be creative while on You Tube after the bars close. Any sort of instruction on reproduction could be catastrophic, as intelligence levels will certainly decline in offspring and a definite case of homophobia will most likely be the leading side effect. Do not use this specimen for any experiments that center around reading material, he will no doubt confuse it with toilet paper and wipe his back side.

  • quit talking like you have live here for 20 years or like you are the only one in town... I/we are here too and you are still GAY

  • bozmeg is GAY

  • i like the song, who is it?

  • wat's the song?

  • love the song!!

  • And why would you leave there? I mean unless you are a sociopathic, masochistic, suicidal, novelist with a bad case of witer's block and a Knicks season ticket.

  • It never and I repeat NEVER gets that cold here in Oklahoma. However I would love to go there during the summer to get away from our 105 degree fahrenheit summers.

  • Carefull for what you wish for... 24 hrs of daylight, and it does get hot up here as well. When the forcast is 20 Celcius, the sun makes it feel like 40! It is actually very nice here in the summer.

  • @bozmeg1969 in Oklahoma people where jackets at 20 I get weird looks down there. I apologize for being from Minnesota then i get a weirder look, friendly people though.

  • I'm fascinated with the northern Canadian cities. Thanks for the video. This makes me thankful that we only get -15 to -20C average in Newmarket ON, during winter. It does get colder, but not so consistently.

  • it didnt seem this bad and foggy when i lived up there

  • i live here in yellowknife im use to cold weather just the 30-40 somtimes so cold dress up when ur hear u get frostbites but yellowknife is awsome!

  • I live in winnipeg and we get those temperatures as well

    stupid canadian winter eh

  • Wow, seems so desolate..but nice in its own way.

  • Have you ever been there? It is silent, you can walk 5 minutes in any direction and be in the middle of a frozen lake. You can stand in a place and hear nothing but your own breath. It's quiet, the drunks are drunk and the beggars beg. But once you live there, you'll never want anywhere else.

  • the best part of the song is the intro.

  • That ice fog is amazing, I think I'm a cold-weather person, I start sweating when it gets above 10C! Seriously I'd love to visit Yellowknife in next few years, or even work there, dont know how easy it is getting a visa for Canada though.

  • Yellowknife at it's finest. I love how it's grey everywhere.

  • That's the most depressing part about winter this far north. I'm actually farther south, but the short/dark/gray days just take a toll on my mental health.

  • Happens to a lot of people I know.

  • I see pedestrians are everywhere to take advantage of the pleasant weather...much more so than in my southern ohio town of 30,000...

  • also, isnt that steam from the tail ,pipe a little more then normal due to tyhe cold and freezing when it comes out??

  • HA! I KNOW there would be no way for me to live there and my 91 taurus would call it quits in that cold

  • That's funny, I own a 91 taurus and it works fine-just make sure that you give it a thorough inspection before winter. You can wait up to three weeks for spare parts to get here.

  • lmao i agree =]

  • big deal dude

thats not tht cold for upo north, here in winnipeg it gets down to -50 and its bin over -40 for a month staright
