I was on the Walnut Street Bridge tonight and got to thinking about how much the Riverfront and Downtown had changed for the better. Had you shot that video 10 years earlier it would have been a lot different. The area that you mention that was once a freeway was basically a concrete road, with concrete walls, and a concrete median. Now though it has grass and trees along it as well as sidewalks.

The only thing I hate about Chattanooga is that the people running it sometimes have no brains.

Im From Neworleans And we came to Chattanooga, TN for hurricane gustav in 2008. It is So Beautiful out there by yall!! and we was So shocked and amazed by the big mountains, becasue in neworleans we dont have nothing like this just big buildings...Yall are so Fucking Lucky to Live in a wonderful place

Don't move up north. I live in Illinois and I hate it. The winters up here suck and theres nothing to do unless you like roller skating and bowling. All year I look forward to going south on vacation so I can spend some time in Nashville and Chattanooga and Alabama. The history down there is awesome and the scenery is beautiful. Around here all you see is corn and bean fields

Not all of them are but most of them are impatient, RUDE,agressive,pushy idiots who are causing overcrowded roads,schools,stores,etc. The infrastructure cannot support the amount of people now living in certain areas of the south.

If you want a beautiful drive around Chattanooga get on US-27 when it splits from I-24 once you leave the downtown area and past Signal Mountain Rd it goes from a rinky dink freeway to a beautiful freeway that goes along a ridge. Once you get off the ridge you go through the countryside and across a lake. After you cross the lake take TN-111 to Dunlap which goes across a mountain.

Come to Chattaxnooga, we need the money, City and County government has us up to our eyeballs in debt. City and County property taxes are out of control. We have more government officials in jail than any other city. The river is polluted, the schools stink, the Sheriff is in jail, our state representative is in jail, we have speed traps(cameras),the city and county councils are bought off. Check out Tennessee Waltz before you move here.

US 27 will take you down to Miami, although in Miami it's called Bloody 27. it's scary driving a rig down there, although I love driving through Chattanooga.

Those stills were from my extensive bridge & highway postcard collection I also have about 35,000+ stills I've shot over the years.

Yes that was a train crossing that bridge, we were pretty excited to see that train :)

I have yet to see a plane on that runway bridge in ATL.
