GTPs are no joke, their motors are one of the top ten motors in the world, due to the fact that it benefits from mods alot better then most cars, and its almost like the front wheel version of the Grand Nationals, which too holds one of the top ten motor in the world.

WOW that GTP didn't do too bad. The Cobra is a Supercharged V8 while the GTP is a Supercharged V6 with a weight difference of 230lbs. GTP has guts!!

Have you removed the u-bend and installed a bigger down pipe in your GTP yet? If not you should do that, should open up the throttle a bit more and make your times better. I know it helped alot with my GTP

I sold my 98 GTP and got a 04 Comp G recently. So far I haven't done any mods to this one but exhaust will definitely be one of the first ones once I decide to start modding it (its too quiet).

get a 3" catless down pipe from zzp then get the pcm and have them progarm out the 420 code those two parts a 3.4pully cai(ebay brand with k&n filter racing wires and plugs 160t-sat all from zzp running high to mid 13's all for under a grand but i have a 98 which is faster then the new ones because there about 200lbs+ lighter then the new ones

My TCS is disabled at the moment but what I do is power brake to 1500 and ease into the gas till about 15 mph and just mash it. Performance Shift should be on, it gives you a couple of more revs and shifts harder.

Make sure you do a couple of small burnouts too, it mostly cleans your tires but it gives you a bit more grip too.
