Seeing these videos is such a help- to see what words have affected others, because I'm already scared about my future children's lives. With my niece I try to see what I naturally say and do with her, & like.. honestly it scares me that I could potentially say something that could bring somebody pain, without me knowing it.
although i do agree that words do have a certain power, i think it also takes a certain person or a certain disposition or something to make that "click" and turn on the so-called ed "switch"... i know its hard not to worry, but you have to remember that your intentions are always good :)
sometimes i get upset because my mom has never had weight issues and had more serious problems to deal with than body image so she can't relate to me, BUT it also keeps me from going through what you guys are going through with your parents..just know that they mean well...and they love us lol
