Despite being sung in Latin, the counterpoint plagal tones sound very much like the chants of our Byzantine brothers... Am I to assume that this would have been sung in Lent, Advent, Septuagessima, or if there was a procession after Mass, or was this the standard dismissal for an Apostle/Martyr, or just for the specific Feast of Saint James?
