I recomend this truck great for offroad and onroad both are good dont matter, really big it could prob resist any hits ,i got one 1 year ago its still running well,so if your planning on getting a savage try the XL,all runs well with the stock one i got some bigger weels but its good enough oh and also hpi made a cool body thx hpi for your cool products i got a different body but i still like the stock body .

yer but mate your forgettin its a CEN lol go and ask a decent model owner or shop/retailer what they would recomend and i bet if they have both trucks in stock they wouldent recomend a CEN lol

i have a genesis 7.7 i think is vetter than savage xl to start whith the engine sise is 7.7 and my wheels are 7.5 inch there huge is a monster compare to the savage xl and i change my air filter i have k&n filter make a differense plus i change my cooling heads of my motor whith aluminum head i love it i recomend the genesis plus i upgrademi tires foe nemesis arena they ruck plus heavy duty servos thanks

This is a nice truck, i got a savage X SS with a k4.6, thts overpowered this has got a 5.9! I love the SS, i love building these things first, i wonder if they will brigh out a XL SS tht be cool!

i got myself this truck a couple of weeks ago: it's pretty good although ive not had much luck - slipper clutch pad has gone; along with the clutch driveshaft...engine mount cracked...

Ive yet to bash it. rofl. i guess i'm unlucky, but apart of this i'm enjoying it so far. despite it costing me so much.

what does the slipper clutch pad do?

@tinaroel if you get a big bump through the wheels, the slipper clutch will take the impact and allow the main transmission clutch on the engine to slip a little, to not kill the engine or its clutch, if that makes sense xD

i think it will be a good truck like all savage's but the handleing wont be helped if its longer lol, plus it looks abit empty behind the engine but who says its a problem its just more space for upgrades haha

that is a thing of beauty, but with a few problems, i like the shorter wheelbase better, looks more like a monstertruck, and 3.75horsepower doesnt sound like much, lol, however i wouldnt mind having it, lol
