@nomorerocketships This was about a year after FNM became huge with Epic. The Real Thing came out in 1989, Epic was huge in 1990, and this is in early '91 per the video description. And um, Bungle was his full time band since 1985. He just concurrently performed in both Bungle and FNM.

@nomorerocketships Yeah I'd say Patton was somewhere near his peak of his fame because Epic video had just been released a year earlier and that's when FNM got very famous. Bungle was as every bit as serious of a band as FNM was to Patton. But due to notoriety he obviously had to put more time into FNM.

one other reason Patton doesn't wear the bondage mask, is when they started doing crazier musical passages the mask kept him from seeing what he was doing! LOL

@darkgrungeman Yeah, I remember him Patton being interviewed when they toured California and Patton said there wouldnt be any mask wearing anymore because the music got much more technical and the masks got in the way.
