First one of your videos I've watched. I like how you tell it like it is. I have an 86 Z50 with a ATC70 motor on it. No kick start just push start. and it runs Great. Best of luck to you.
I just got my Pitster Pro 140 and it came with an outer rotor. Smaller than the standard flywheel, but a tad bit larger than an inner rotor magnet. One of the best ignitions I have ever seen..
all the inner rotor kit does is to let the engine run more freely unlike the magneto, it doesnt change riding performance it just lets the engine run freely possibly letting the engine last longer
Your fuckin stupid bud you want a rev limeter so your bike doesn't blow up and you still getting the same RPM as you did be for it's just the bike revs up quicker to that point and can't go any more because now the air to gas spark are all perfect there for you get the maxuim power your just too fat for that little bike and a fuckin dummy that should learn how to properly install and inner rotor kit
Hi Alex im from Malaysia and I ride a kriss 100 which is 97.2cc's currently 110ccs. engien build is 99% the same. I have tried using bigger carbs 24mms (currently bone stock 18mm) but i could not get a setting which is good. Ive done the necesary spark plug checkings but sometimes i get a lean or too rich setting never the perfect setting. but either way idling and revving sucks. the bike sputters when i WOT. Jetting? I have tried every single crap there is. from black smoke to really hot engine
I ran this on a 125 lifan, because the clutch is opposite the irk there is a imbalance as there is usually a lightened oil slinger to match weights were the clutch is as some 125 and all140 and above run a rear clutch setup, my clutch disintergrated at high revs due to them being made from junk alloy and smashed the case and spewed oil onto the exhaust, only run these with an oil slinger to match.
hello evrybody ,just wanted to give my opinion bout this topic.meny years ago i drove honda and the cd50 is the original motor for the lifan copy , we had the same thoughts bout hp and torque but the thing is the original "flywheel"stabilisses the engines revs and keeps it "level". they dont waste torque or gain hp ,thats only the engine tuneup that does eny saying in the matter ,and the honda ,stock on 19mm carbs made 90-100 kmph about 60 miles so lifans still have a lot work to do
YOU SAID " AHMM " SIX TIMES IN 3 MINUTES!!!! SO IS ONE EVERY 30 SECONDS!!!!!!!! AND YOU WHERE RIDING THE BIKE A LITTLE, SO IT IS REALLY LESS THAN 30 SECONDS!!!!!
IRK doesnt change the bhp rating of your engine so you wont really gain or loose any "power". What it will do is allow your engine to respond much quicker.
But remember the less weight you have on the flywheel, the less momentum it will carry so you bike will slow any any strain is applied from speed, such as going up hill
Yeah, surprising it's not as expensive or fast as you might think. Look up 85 Ferrari 308 on eBay, they aren't much more expensive than most new cars nowadays.
i was wondering where do i plug the yellow and green wire in, which is the pos. and neg. on the coil? and on the new cdi? cause i bought one just as a replacement so i can ride my bike for now.
I don't have this kit on my bike anymore and I don't have the instructions anymore either. Just read the paper that it came with. On the CDI, I couldn't figure out which was which. It works fine both ways though. I'm not sure if it is a big issue or not so you might want to look into it more.
The color is pretty close but the Honda's are a tiny bit on the orange side and the Ferrari is a very deep red. And the 328 and 308 are very similar looking cars, the giveaway is the front end. The car in this video is my dad's '85 308 QV.
No. This is a 50cc street legal engine. I don't own a bike with a superhead. Superhead is a name for a head made by Takegawa. I use a TB 108 stroker kit with race head in another bike. The bike in this video, however, has a 20mm carb and a intake to match. Fully port matched from the carb to the head. The head is slightly ported to clean up the casting imperfections. The carb is too large however, I'm looking to get a 17mm carb or so.
I'm seriously considering one of these IRK, but they're not as attractive @ ~$70 by time it arrives in Canada. Your bike seems to pick up revs quickly as you go up the crescent. Curious to know, after having ridden it more, do you find more of a difference in how it picks up revs in the absence of a heavy flywheel while under load or only while free revving ?
The bike I tested had other problem that made the trial run a bit inaccurate. I put it onto another motor and it was actually a lot better. Acceleration is noticeable quicker and shifts are a lot quicker also. For racing on pavement I am sure that this would be a good investment because of the quicker shifts and acceleration. On dirt however, I think it might be a bit too much to handle and make the ride more difficult. This is just my take on it.
My engine has a wet clutch. Honda horizontals have used wet clutches since before 1967. Your POS China engine is based on my Honda engine but has a KLX110 top end. Do your research.
What you need is a secondary clutch engine, not a primary (which you have now). It can be dangerous putting a innerrotor into a primary clutched engine.
Hey i bought a IRK for my pitbike but it cost me $44, I really noticed a change in performance as in rev limiter higher and loads better acceleration the only diffrence to yours is my stator plate is purple.
Irk suck

my enay irk died the magnet on the rotor shot out and damn near hit me, damaged the coils too somewhat
danielmtb 2 years ago
i heard these things can fuck your crank cause of the centrifugal forces when it revs up.
also have you converted it to 12v? with a crank adapter or you have a new/stroker crank?
cyclingsaint 2 years ago
Hi man what you must do with the inner rotor kit is fully retard the timing. Try that for a while and tell me if it helps.

Age doesn't make any difference. It is completely compatible with my bike after a few adapters which could not possibly affect performance.
