You should have included the scene before this. Clouseau walks up to a man and says "Excuse me. Do you know the way to the hotel?" The man replies "yes" and keeps on walking lol.
Great acting, of course, but for those of us in the hotel business, this scene means a lot to us, especially those brave ones having to work the front desk. Rude check ins are the same, no matter what hotel type, no matter what country/city. We who are veterans of the hotel front desk have our stories & we can all relate to this scene. Still funny after all these years.
Wow.. Is that receptionist Victor Spinetti? He was a good friend of The Beatles and starred in their movies A hard days night, Help and Magical mystery tour. That's a surprise..
This scene is extremely funny and as usual perfect timing with Sellers as the bumbling mustach-ed karate chopping idiot detective Inspector Clouseau. Brilliant and Genius.
you didn't have the complete scene! What about the part where the guy hands him a dusty key?

you idiot. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. After all, the costumer provides you with money. If I were your boss, you'd be fired right now!
