I read "hitler's War" and was impressed by the book. But the book has some serious flaws in it.
Irving neglects to account for Hitler speaking about hanging Jews in 1922 or even speaking about gassing 10,000 Jews in Mein Kampf(1925)...or Hitler making speeches threatening to "annihilate the jewish race in Europe".
When the totality of the evidence against Hitler is assembled together it would become very apparent to any jury that Hitler authored, planned, and executed the holocaust.

My brother-in-law was among the troops who liberated Auswitz(sp) he was stationed there in 1945 when it was used as detention center for German soldiers.
He saw the gas chambers and told me the whole place still smell of chared bodies

This is a tough one for me, I think Jewish folks were singled out during WWII. But I don't know about that 6 million number.
I wouldn't want to see folks have their property, life, or dignity taken but I don't see how you can gas so many folks. I see starvation and disease playing a large part in the deaths. I had grade school teachers that survived with tattoos, so I know atrocities were committed.

Actually, Max, in your interviews, David Irving doesn't sound like a holocaust denier. His fans, on the other hand, are pretty ridiculous. If you listen carefully the subtle propaganda shift is to suggest that hitler was somehow a good guy after all and opposed the 'things that happened to the jews'. The truth is that likely hitler was on the same side as Churchill, Rosenfelt, Stalin.
