This performance absolutely electrified me when I was like 18, funny to look back now and realize how much Fred's look and mannerisms subconsciously influenced my impressionable young self.
Last I knew, Fred had a sort of STD-spinoff band called The Ancients (I actually bought that CD, tho' I found the recordings a bit too "careful" and dispassionate), then he fronted Crush (aka Crush Sr. I think?) which had an alt-radio hit single "The Rain" in the mid-'90s.

Are you people on drugs? This band is so fucking lame. Freddy Mercury would have fucked this clown in the ass, without a condom just to see him die of 1980's AIDS. So sad.
A few years ago, while bemoaning the sorry state of popular music, I got curious and tried to find the band on the web. This may have been before YouTube, so the closest I came was finding the drummer, Jon Bonnell. I emailed him and he sent me a tape of these appearances. He told me the band broke up shortly afterward, he plays in a blues band, and the lead singer actually joined a COUNTRY band. What a shame, this was one of the most electrifying bands I've ever heard.
Oh my GOD! >...I knew pretty much all the words from TWENTY years ago! wow....I remember seeing them like it was yesterday. I liked the band and remember thinking they would possibly make it big.....
where did you get a cd of theirs from ? Thanks for uploading this...Now I need to see those dance groups..."in effect" and some others that I remember from that year! ha ha
Wow! I've been looking for CD's of this band and longing to see these clips for quite some time. Thanks for uploading them. I noticed that Episodes 2 and 3 do not have sound. Any way you can reload with the sound?

I love the confidence of the singer. I remember when this first aired and I was completely entranced with Fred's theatrics and
voice...like Bowie with better support. And a
great song, too. Good guitar solo conducting.
Freddie Mercury would have nodded his head in approval.

HA! I can't believe this was almost 20 years ago! What are the chances of a reunion??? Where are these guys now?
