Big bullshit!!! When I visited Israel for the 2nd time, when I LEFT the country to fly back to Europe they have taken everything out of my luggage in a separate room. And they kept my coffee that I bought in Tel Aviv and some Israeli food that isn't available that cheap in Europe. OF COURSE that coffee and the soup almonds were explosives. This could not work in the US. American culture says that people have to be nice and politically correct. Israelis are nice but very direct. Being politically nice is way less important than national security. Security might make you lose your flight because of this.

It is a very efficient system though. After clearing security I felt very safe on the plane :)

I think cameras everywhere in the airport should be the norm--I'm not sure if they do this already but it sure would help if there were security tipping off ground security a/b unusual behavior--or at least alert the screener/interviewer.

this law is giving the terrorists exactly wat they want: it's letting the actions of a few define how the world views a demographic. muslims dont want to be defined as "possible terrorists," the same way that latinos dont want to be defined as "possible illegal aliens," the same way that blacks dont want to be defined as "possible gang member." i think that that needs to be respected, and if that means that some old white dude will have to wait in line for security, then too fucking bad.

In my opinion the best technique in the world of Airport security. How true! You don't need to be a muslim to be eliminated from the Airport in Israel.
