  • Awesome!!!

  • Omg!!! This song makes me cry! I love you Dream Theater! T.T

  • Wow people really took my comment the wrong way, me pointing out that they made a mistake does NOT mean I think they suck, and I did not say I can play better. Lay off, jeez, I love dream theater and this was an amazing performance

  • Two words! Dream Theater!

You people n all your, "mistakes" nonsense bullshit! Fucken yeah ok, let's see any of you even pick up an instrument and DARE compare!. Anyone here that plays knows! Anyone who doesn't, probably has no fucking clue what t's like so truly, give it up! Two words! Dream Theater! Remember!

  • sorry but i had to give the top comment a thumbs down just so he has 100 thumbs up total ;)

  • Petrucci's last note in the final solo...holy shit...

  • 5:12 No nos vamos ni cagando!!!! METROPOLIS... METROPOLIS.. hehehehehe

  • Epic.

  • This particalur song wasn't exactly played perfectly, I heard more than 1 mistakes, but still has to be one of their greatest live performances ever, what a badass song!

  • @BloodHarvest21 Holy fucking shit 1 mistake they fucking suck

  • @noobsmoke261 I never said they suck, I just pointed out that the performance wasn't 100 percent perfect

  • @BloodHarvest21 Yeah I know, but it's impossible to make a performance perfect, when someone says that they played perfect, it usually means they had the best sound they possibly could.

  • @noobsmoke261 Oh nooooooo...

  • @BloodHarvest21 Geezz.. Listen to your self? They're not robots..

  • portnoy singing is so fail haha

  • mike portnoy as backup singer is fucking great!:)

  • One person got mad that at 3:02, they shat their pants, and it totally blew the epic ending.

  • Epic song, but I coulda sang better than that.

  • Labrie was off because of the g5 in part 3 i bet

  • The ending was EPIC, and Petrucci... God, I think by then the fans didn't give a damn if LaBrie was a little off...

  • omfg 2:10 sir Petrucci did a mistake. I will be telling this to my grandchildren. :P

btw is anyone else dissapointed by james except from me?

  • we should call them " sir "

  • Oh my good god lord in heaven that was good.

  • AND THIS IS HOW THE WORLD WAS CREATED...AMAZING PERFORMANCE! :)

  • de putamadre...

  • The guy that gave this a thumb down must be the town's idiot.

  • That guitar solo gives me chills!

  • i don't wanna ruin this background but at 2:38 seems like that petrucci is "playing with himself" >_<

  • LaBrie definitely has his off nights. Still an amazing vocalist and the rest of the band is flawless. Amazing!

  • The passion in Petrucci's eyes at 2:02 ..... :')

  • this deserves more views than lady gaga

  • @s4mbor4

this video doesn't deserve to have that talentless womans name mentioned

  • It's funny...a lot of people comment that "petrucci don't have feeling", and in the clips that petrucci plays with feeling, I can't see that comments...the same with labrie, it's really sad, judging after listen only 3-5 songs, with a subjective opinion that is probably influenced by people that not listen DT

  • how long are typical dream theater headlining shows?

  • @butterknucklez that depends. they used to do "an evening with" tipe of shows which could last up to 3 hours and a half.

when I saw them, Pendragon opened the show and then Dream Theater played for about 2 hours and a half

  • 3:02 The God note has been struck...

  • i love this song so much but labrie was a little off. he was perfect when he sang it for score.

  • The band is amazing. Labrie, on the other hand... got to die...

  • I feel that Portnoy's singing spoils the song.... he should just play the drum and let the singing to the singer ¬¬

  • 1:39

One of the greatest guitar cries ever made...

    It moved me to tears...

It takes passion, talent, and dedication in order to have a guitar solo like this...

A great contribution to music industry was done by John Petrucci and the Dream Theater.

  • jp has got some pretty baggy pants

  • Anyone who understands the depth of this song know's it is the best ever. And this live performance matched the song quality. Of course there are many songs of many styles, of course Octavarium and DT has a lot of influences, nevertheless i agree tho whom said that this is the best music piece ever made in history.

  • NO DOUBT BEST SONG IN THE WORLD!!!! THESE GUYS ARE OUT OF THIS FUCKING WORLD, NO ONE IS CLOSE TO THE TALENT LEVEL OF THESE MUSICIANS!! CAN'T FIGHT THE TRUTH!

  • The guitar solo is one of the most beautiful i´ve ever heard by Petrucci. fantastic epic moment!

  • Best song in the world. Dont even try to argue, this is greater than mozart , bach, in my opinion, this is the best music piece ever in history. DREAM THEATER IS FUCKING AMAZING!

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow! nothing more to say!

  • i almost died when i heard the ending so beautiful yet so powerful kinda like oprah only plus the beautiful part

  • THE ENDING IS JUST SO FRICKING EPIC!!!

I mean, get a load of that guitar scream!! The moment is just soooo... EPIC!!

  • I would dare to say" the best Epic song of all times", if it wasn't that it's made of some Pink Floyd, mixed with a lot of Genesis, Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Krimson and Metallica...

But these guys prove there is extra-terestrial life out there: no one on Earth can play like them...

  • @janbuyck1 its King Crimson

  • @FunK0Slap0GB : you're right... it's an old Devil called "Flemish preferred orthography" that played with it!...

  • 2:23, the end make´s me cry :(

  • 0:15 I LOooooooooooooVe this moment.

And of course John's solo... Petrucci is guitar god!!! 3:05 I'd like this as a poster on the wall of my room

  • @harmony0404 yeaaah :D

  • @jwcinc1

    YEAH MAN

i get em everytime i am doing air guitar and air keyboard for every solo in this entire song!! ahahha!!! right on!!

  • there are guitar players and there is JOHN PETRUCCI

  • playing that incredible solo live must be like a wonderful dream ... dream theater 4 ever <33

  • god...the last 45 seconds of this song still sends me the chills. :D

  • This must've been one of the greatest performances of all time in prog rock history!!!!!!! Man, what a setlist!!!!!

  • You won´t believe how much i love this band

    great performance

  • this is song it's perfect (:

DT they are the best !!!!

  • great awesome amazing band !

  • I'm Crying... DT RULES EVER EVER EVER EVER FOREVER

  • chord at 3:16? Bb.

    DT the best!

  • @fmla1984 you need to get your fucking head examined

  • love that last chord at 3:16.

Dream Theater are one of the best bands EVER.

  • one of the best? THEY ARE THE BEST!!! :-)

  • Metropolih, metropolih!

  • Dream Theater...

    Wow.

    Gotta fucking love them.

Played a 25 minute song live perfectly.

All of them are so talented.

    Ugh.

  • Almost perfectly.

There was one little mistake by Mr. Petrucci, but it shows that he is still human.

  • @Dystrox Also they've played Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence Live, wich is +40 mins"

  • Questo assolo mi tocca il cuore!!!!Grande petrucci!!

  • i had chills the entire video. thats how epic this is.

  • when you hear Petrucci playing the last note then you understand 'octavarium' is one of the best songs in the world.......

  • @roni4438 i actually understood that long ago more like during rudess' first note in the song

  • @roni4438 totally agree. what a fucked incredible song is this

  • no nos vamos ni cagando!

    jajajaja

    notable

  • conchetumadreeeee estuvo la zorraaaa

    yo estuve ahíiiii!!!!!!!

    i was thereeee

  • "We shall return!" haha

  • guys like petrucci are what you call "true musicians".

  • gotta love the razors edge movement, such a masterpeice...

  • I fucking love DT so much..badass

  • How can you bash that man. He hit an A 2 secs before this video.

  • i like how Petrucci's guitar appeared orange on 2:02.. :)

  • Mike portnoy 00:36 - 00:39.. awesome

  • this version of octavarium doesn't have the same brilliance as it normally does, (but labrie's note at the end of pt 3 was good)

  • I guess hie is in bad condition... he isn't singing as brilliant as in other concert

  • music is just awesome, but Labrie...he's the default of dream theater

  • some of the early Octavarium lives of Dream Theater, that's why LaBrie has difficulty in some of the lyrics.

  • Have you even listened to the full song? Listen to this and listen to the studio version, you won't see many difference on LaBrie's part, you're probably just another one following the pact saying that LaBrie isn't good vocal wise.

  • nope, i did not say anything negative about LaBrie.

and I'm not a Dream Theater noob.

  • I believe I wasn't responding to you in the first place, my bad man. Was talking about someone else.

  • ohh. ok.. sorry about that man.. :)

  • you're just another idiot, defending LaBrie cause you like him.

Damn, haven't you got ears? I mean, it sounds horrible, my grandma can sing clearer and with better intonation than LaBrie.

  • wow, nice layering you've done now Jordan.

  • no nos vamos nicagando (8), esa weá es única en chile!!

Aunque no fuí al del 2005 fué la raja weón, fuí al del 2008 y quería que fuese igual !!

  • im surprised mike doesnt look tired at all

  • James sounds tired.

  • You would be too if you sang that last line in Oc-ta-va-ri-UUUUUUUUM!

  • hahahaha xDD
