You know, I'm not a big Nascar fan...But I remember the day this happened. I was 13 years old and the whole day was dedicated to clean house, but as we were cleaning we had the T.V on and it was the Nascar race...I remember when the wreck happened, we all paused for a moment and then went back to cleaning we didn't think much of it because it looked like such a mild wreck...But then we heard how serious it was and we all dropped what we were doing to find out if he would make it or not...
Dale Sr Love the game and respected racing so much he probably wld of still got in his car even if he knew what was gonna happen on tht Feburary day in 2001.He wldnt do it to hurt anybody or for fame just to race his car. R.I.P Dale Earnhardt
I was just watching the documentary they were syndicating on the Speed Channel about 2-18-01 about Dale's unfortunate death. That's the only thing that can could prevent him from climbing into the cockpit of his vehicle because that's how talented he was. I think he'd still be racing today, and actually running competitively.
