  • 78 dislikes.. How could you not like this??

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I have lost my oldest son and second oldest daughter to this war. He was 19 years old and she was 22. They died 11 months apart. An angel flight brought them both home. This song will always make me cry and make my heart glow. Thank you again. CSM Mueller RET.

  • Shivers.... Thank for this, really.

Old Vic, many years ago sergeant in Italian Air Force.

  • First, thank you for serving. Next, thank you for providing us with this awesome tribute to our fallen heroes. Serving our republic should evoke a response that brings thanks from its people, and honor to those who serve.

  • I'm an Aussie Vietnam Vet and even I for the life of me cannot understand why anyone would dislike this clip. I've lost count of the times I've watched it and as long as it's on YouTube I'll continue to watch it. I know the song by rote now and I still get choked up every time I watch and hear it. God bless all our boys and girls in harms way and thank you to all you yankees. I use the word yankee VERY affectionately. God bles all of you.

  • @TheAussieCattledog They click dislike because they must be terrorist. I`m so glad you made it home.

  • Wonderful tribute...thank you!

  • Thank you SO much for captioning the words to this song, for all of us who are hearing impaired. God bless you for your service.

To all the fallen service men and women and there families you are so honored and appreciated by Myself and my family , Thank You!!!!

And for the 74 dislikes, you can rott in hell, with your buddies sadam and binladen

  • Honestly how do ppl hate country music I LOVE IT! And this song rite here is one of the reasons why country music is one of my favorite type of music!!

  • @LtThompsonCS

How in the name of the Almighty could you dislike this video? This is a no-troll-zone so the unpatriotic can piss off. Cheers to the fallen and God bless our boys

  • I am completely and utterly speechless. What a moving tribute to our fallen and those that have the honor and responsibility to bring them home. Thank you for sharing and God Bless. God Bless America.

  • It will be so wonderful if Ron Paul could be president and stop the nonsense over in the middle east. We could keep our money for our children instead of propping up israel for another fifty years. Thank you veterans!!!! Thank you Angel Flight!!!

  • To all of my loyal fans out there, stick around - next month you're in for a special surprise ;)

Thanks again to all that made the 1.3 million; moreover to those who have Served.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • God bless these heroes, the ones coming home and the folks who bring them home. I'm so grateful my nephew made it back in piece twice.

  • @auntkake3 I'm glad to hear that! God Bless Him for his Service!

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • For all Veterans of the United States of America,

Thank God, I did not come home draped in a U.S. Flag, but I well remember my voyage on a Hercules C-130 in 1957 from Frankfort Germany to San Antonio, TX.

To all who have served this nation I thank you for your service.

As a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of The United States, we should never forget the sacrifices of those willing to serve. And especially those who either did not come home, or came home in body bags. God Bless the U.S.

  • @Jeskid100 I thank you for your Grateful Service (w/ both the Military + VFW) & I am glad that you did not have to fly aboard an Angel Flight.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @uffdaa12 - Thank you, but it's your father and those brave men and women that have been fighting in harms way that need the thanks. Especially the Marines. I was lucky to have been serving during a time when there were no great conflicts. It was an honor and a privilege to have served my country and I would do it again in a heartbeat if ever called. My love for freedom is too great.

  • Lt Thompson, sir, you have had over 1.2 million views on this site. I hope that encourages you to post more videos like this one! We are all behind you and thank you for your service and for this website. Please keep posting.....this is a great way to honor those who fought and for those who gave their all. God bless you and God bless our troups!

  • @LadywithRed Haha, as always, thanks :)

Worry not, I have a special video that will debute next month ... if you don't mind the wait (it's next month for a reason - you'll understand when I post it :D)

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • To all my military brothers and sisters, Thank you for your service. Thank you for being there to defend our country. I was in the Air Force shortly after the Korean War ended and was out by 1958. I have the greatest admiration for those who are keeping our country free. It brings a tear to these old eyes when I hear of or see an Angel Flight. May God Bless these young men and women.

  • @hotgun35 Thank you for Serving; glad you came out unscathed.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @hotgun35 Thank you and all those who serve and defend our country. God Bless each and everyone and God Bless America, Land of the Free because of the Brave.

On behalf of my father, WWII...Semper Fi

  • @hotgun35 I'd like too also thank all our brothers and sisters in active duty as well as reserve military for keeping America free. God Bless!

  • a must listen and see...phenomenal video

  • I hear this "occupy" mentality on my campus. I tell them they haven't lived long enough to know what they're talking about because of "liberal" professors & media & they should visit one of those countries they think is better than ours & if they're from immigrant families, go live in native country for a year or so, and then come back here.

  • Been an Air Trafic Controller for 38 years and seen too many "Angel Flight" aircraft bringing dad, mom, brother, sister, husband, wife, hero home for the last time. Hope we can get'em all home some day. Good Speed Hero's...

  • @CRICKEYDOG Wow; 38 years - that's amazing! ... this might be a future career path for me, either that or Aerospace engineering.

    GodSpeed,

    Justin

  • The video is very sad. For me. it is so very unfortunate that the USAis involved in so many undeclared and worthless and useless wars. And, as a result we have to bring them home dead. I have a very strong dislike for military mentality and spending money on foreign wars. If half of the defense budget was cut, we could have some economic prosperity here at home. So very unfortunate we ever had a W as President. I would walk around the block to avoid the good for nothing.

  • @johnrhuffjr Get a Life! You have no idea!

  • The day my unit ripped out of our province, one of our sister companies lost 3 guys to IEDs placed in trees while on a foot patrol. We got the word when we landed. The next day, while walking to the DFAC by the gym, 4 HMMWVs with open beds rolled past carrying a casket in each of their beds. 3 of those caskets belonged to them.

The Air Force did this for every one we lost over there. Thank you for being so good them, they deserved it.

  • @Cabeson24 Sorry to hear what happened. Glad you're still here; thanks for Serving!

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @LtThompsonCS. Hey, no profane language used. And most certainly, anything but disrespect for a fallen American, unless you don't get the message. I just do not have respect for anyone that has no respect for a fallen American trooper. If small little words such as the ones I posted in my first response hurts your little sensitive ears, tough crappy you. Simple as that.

  • @eddiehair1 Hey, I agree with you completely; but that is using profane language.

  • @LtThompsonCS . you keep up the good work for all our troops. the living and the ones that make the ultimate sacrifice. the older i get, the less politically correct i become. AATW.

  • @eddiehair1 Roger Sir :)

  • Ok you (64) bozos. Their blood was shed for your sorry ass, so they will allow you to have your freedom of speech. Sleep well you 'tards at the expense of heroes and the best of the best Americans. Most of you (64) are probably not Americans; if not all (64) of you DAs. Sleep well. Someone will always have your sorry ass covered....

  • @eddiehair1 Hey, there's no need for the use of profane language. This isn't about disrespecting people. We are here to HONOUR those that have Fallen - doing so by remembering their memories. Simple as that.

  • thank you sir brings tears to my eyes we do not hear about those heroes bb e get lot of stuff about paris hilton SHAME ON THE MEDIA

  • oh rah semper fi those are the real heroes u don't here about them but we here a lot about Britney spears and Paris hilton shame on the media

  • My Heart is with you and your family in prayer. I lost my brother Lt. Timothy B. Higgins FDNY SOC Division in the N. tower of the WTC on 9/11. I know how I feel as a sibling. I have seen the pain it caused in my Parents and amazingly how they have carried on with him held daily and deeply in their hearts. Your son Sir is a True American Hero. "He Will Never Be Forgotten". I Promise you that!

~God Bless All Who Have Served! I Salute You

  • One of my best buddies from childhood caught the Angel Flight. They named a street after him at home. I've also had a few friends I served with at various points of my enlistment catch that flight. I cry almost every time I hear this song.

  • @Sketchtool I was in for 24yrs and two tours in Baghdad and one to Bosnia. I stopped trying not to cry. Thank you and all those who have served.

  • I think I have watched this video at least 10 times today. I flew the Herk in a lot of C-130 operations but never had the privilege to do an Angel flight. This video brought back a lot of memories and a lot of emotions. It was an Angel flight that brought my oldest son, a Navy F-18 pilot, back from Iraq.

  • @DandSWhite My condolences & sympathy for the loss of your son; albeit I am happy to know that he is now with God & the Angels :)

    Thank you for your Service.

    Hang tough & God Bless,

    Justin

  • @DandSWhite

I am so sorry for your loss and the sacrifice your son had to make for our country. I pray for peace for you and your family. I thank you all for giving him to us and for his service. This vet salutes your son. GOD bless you all and give you comfort.

  • @DandSWhite I was deployed to baghdad twice, I always appreciated the air support. Thank you and your son for your service and sacrifice. God Speed!

  • @DandSWhite God bless all those who gave their life for this country. God bless my own son Nathan Blane Lindstrand Sr. Airmen United States Air Force 10/18/1988-11/19/2010...may he rest in peace and never be forgotten. May God bless my remaining children, two of which are still active duty Air Force

  • @martytreetop1 May you find peace. At first I felt no one could understand and relate to our grief and later I discovered we had no corner on that market, only that it was survivable. My struggle now is, was his sacrifice worth it. We hope and pray that it was. After my tour in Viet Nam, actually Cambodia, I was sure we never commit our young men and women to harms way without the 100% support of our leaders. That I am afraid has not been the case. Shame on them.

  • @DandSWhite God bless you and your son.

  • I salute you sir. thank you.

  • I am the wife of a Marine Corps Vet. He proudly served 5 yrs & completed 2 tours of duty to Iraq. I remember standing in the parking lot at 11pm watching him board the bus while I was 10 wks pregnant. Hearing the gun fire in the back ground when he would call & praying he would come home to see the birth of our daughter. This video was posted on a local county police FB page as they posted pics of them bringing a hero home. This song moved me to tears. ~Semper Fi~ Thanks for bringing them home!

  • @LovinmyUSMC I'm glad he was able to return home to see his daughter :)

God Bless the 3 of You,

    Justin

  • as many times i have controlled angel flights, a tear always comes.. Semper fi

  • @ATC1100 GodSpeed A.T.C. & Thank you for your Service.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • My wife and I has had this song for about a year. The disc is in our car and never leaves the car, it is a great tribute to our fallen. Thanks you for the video, it really brings that song home.

  • This is really a nice video. It is also special that they now have a C130 to take our fallen heroes home. During the Viet Nam was I was a burial escort out of military mortuary in Oakland CA. At that time (Nov 1965) the remains were loaded into the cargo area of an airliner. After we supervised the loading of the fallen hero we went up the jetbridge wearing our black armbands and joined the regular passengers for the flight home. This is much nicer and more respectful!

  • @3333willie thank you for your Service. As I do with all 'Nam vets, I would like to extend my condolences & sympathy to You and your Generation for what you guys had to go through upon return Stateside.

Thank you for bringing our boys Home.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @crem2057 read my comment below my phone auto corrected and I don't feel like re-entering the characters.

  • My class is singing this in our next concert

  • @ObserveandWatch Wow; never would have expected to hear that at a concert; but kudos to the director who decided to incorperate Angel Flight into the concert.

  • Thanks

    abeldanger(dot)net

  • Patriotism is a good thing, it helps us to remember those who fight and die for a cause in which they believe. What is appalling is the treatment these veterans so many hold up as a bloody shirt receive once they have returned to the U.S.

Demand better medical treatment and pay the taxes that will do something for veterans. I think they would appreciate it more than a song.

  • Beautiful...

  • Wow; did ya'll see the Angel?

  • What a reverent salute. I am in awe of all in our military. May the Good Lord bless each and all.

  • I was a Sentry at Carswell in Ft Worth for 4 years, it warmed my heart.

  • @MOAONAABE Thanks for your Service, especially as an Honor Guard.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • Thank you from the bottom of my heart.Angel Flight is a remarkable service. This is not my first time to watch Angel Flight.Every time I do tears flood my eyes and rolls down my cheeks.I think those that didnt serve OUR GREAT COUNTRY should be made to watch Angel Flight.May God keep you save as you escort OUR fallen men an women on their final flight home.Angel Flight is like having a CHAPEL in the wide blue sky.Being so close to HEAVEN.

  • im in the USAF and this is the most amazing video i have ever seen in my ENTIRE life! thank you for posting!-FLIGHT OFFICER REED USAF

  • @TheTacpro2244 Officer Reed, thanks for your Sertice.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @LtThompsonCS Thank you for supporting!

  • Very beautiful tribute. My associate and I have a limo company here in the states. We had the HONOR of transporting the family of a Hero for his final trip. I can only imagine how powerful it is to fly with these dedicated souls to bring our fallen home.

  • @MrRockinrobert Reminds me of the movie, Taking Chance w/ Kevin Bacon. It's a great movie if you've never watched it.

  • LtThompsonCS~my husband is a proud Vietnam Veteran who served two tours in that Godforsaken country (at that time, anyway), among other locations 'off the map'. He was in SF (5th Group), and he was very proud to serve his country. He learned that if at all possible bring your men out, living or otherwise. He, as a LT. Col., chose to personally escort (as a passenger on Angel Flight) several soldiers home, when he could, to their final resting places. BTW...thank you SO much for these videos!

  • @Rainbowrider57 Wow, such a decorated career it sounds like. Very glad that he made it out alive. Thank him for his Service for me if you wouldn't mind.

    God Bless you two,

    Justin

  • Songs like these suck balls! It has no originality and they're just trying to make a profit off of everyone's "love" for god and america. It's pretty easy for them - happens everyday.

  • @flyingsteveee Son; you don't want to stir up the hornet's nest - which by the way, you just did. I suggest you wake up, join the Armed Forces - and only then you will understand the true meaning of this song; there'd be a lot of Angry Americans who would love to put you in the ground just for saying what you just did.

If you don't have anything beneficial for others to hear about; don't say anything. AND GET OUT OF MY CHANNEL.

  • @LtThompsonCS I was in the armed forces, dipshit. And it was the worst experience of my life. And you don't think what I said is beneficial? I was merely trying to help people understand how they are being manipulated and brainwashed everyday by songs like these. And I'm sure there are a lot of americans that would LOVE to put me in the ground, but that just proves my point. It's great to see such threatening remarks with no actual reason or logic backing it.

  • @flyingsteveee In context with this video; we're not here to reflect upon one person's bad experience in the Armed Forces. This video was created by Mr. Foster in order to share the less known side of the Military - Escorting and bringing home our Fallen. Now, if you have a problem with the concepts of "Angel Flights", I highly suggest you take it up with your State Representative ...

    Have a nice day!

  • @flyingsteveee We can have no "50-50" allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all.” Theodore Roosevelt quote

And I agree with you totally......I would like to put people like you in the ground! The girlscouts doesn't count as ther "armed forces". People like you are the problem with this country. So leave!

  • Heartwrenching video and very appropriate song to go with it. I've had a Veteran Hero (who happens to be my husband) tell me about a few Angel Flights he was on to escort Heroes home to their families. He also physically carried a few out over his shoulder who didn't live to fight another day. 'No Man Left Behind' was emblazoned in his brain...and in his heart. God Bless Our Veterans!

  • @Rainbowrider57 God Bless your husband for answering the Call to Arms. Quite the job it is, to be an escort that is, isn't it?

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • Excellent video

  • thank you you i have cryed to night i love you usa

thank you to all who have served in the armed forces and have fallen because all gave some some gave all god bless america and all who have died in any war i hope the angle flight nevers stop doing what thay do god speed to all .cole and zach we are both 11 years old and love america

  • @Hay3sGray Aw, that's great that you kids think of this that highly, many kids nowadays don't even think about things like this. Hang tough, and be sure to make your friends understand the Sacrifices these men and women make.

    God Bless You Two,

    Justin

  • @LtThompsonCS They aren't your average kids Sir. They are "military brats" so while they are playing Xbox like any other kid their age they also have a broader understanding of what is really going on. I had no idea they had posted on this yesterday but I am proud that they did.

  • @Hay3sGray I'm glad they did too. I hope their appreciation for our Armed Forces never change.

    God Bless you guys,

    Justin

  • This is a remarkably well done video that portrays the essence of what all of us veterans felt while in the service and my heart goes out to all the young men and women who have given their all for our country. God Bless their families and friends for they have given us their best. Let them rst in peace with our heavenly Father.

  • @1966cjmatt , thank you for your Service. Without men and women like you, we would not be who we are today. Glad you did not have to fly aboard an Angel Flight.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • I just gotten this video from a friend, I wasnt going to open it at first, but decided to. And am glad that I did. This is a beautiful song, & as I listenbing to it, so much emotion came over me, It made chills come over me and tears to my eyes. I started to cry, as this song there is just something about it, that plaed a person right there as they was flying the Angel Flying" God Please Bless all those who lost a loved one & brought back on The Angel Light" They gave their lives to protect us!

  • @1951MistyBlue Glad you decided to open it ;)

  • What a beautiful song and video and an awesome tribute to our brave men and women!

    Thank you!

  • This viedo is decated to all of the familys that has lost there sons daughters etc I just wanted to thank you

  • My heart felt Thank You to all who have served, to all who have sacrificed and to those left behind, they did not die in vain they gave their all for God and Country.

  • I think this song is very much a tribute to ALL in uniform - no matter what part they play they are all VITAL!! My ex-husband was in the US ARMY, Ft Stewart GA and they where chosen in turn to be part of this special detail he said it was a PRIVILEDGE and also heartbreaking. I can't think how it would be to do this over and over and the special care the men & women take to bring their own home. God Bless you all and guide you all home SAFE and keep you all wrapped in his arms thereafter!

  • What a beautiful tribute to our troops it should be played for every one of them I just wish our government would appreciate what these people do for our country and treat them much better and take better care of them and their loved ones. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ONE AND ALL..

  • amazingly beautiful and moving. some times we forget what our service men risk for us. God Bless them all.

  • We must, I repeat MUST reserve a special place for the ones who return home with any less than they left with and allow them special privileges and benefits for their sacred duty. I salute them all individually and collectively, and I honor the families of the fallen and injured. May God bles them all, and there but for the grace of God go I.

  • These brave men and women heros live in our hearts, minds and most beloved memories of what they stood for and what they stood up against to do that. I want to know that God has a special place in Heaven for them regardless of anything they did or did not do during their lives on earth.

  • @kkw1965 I do want attention if it will keep the military from dumping our soldiers in the landfill. My son in law was in the Army for 4 years. one in Iraq. My brother was in the Marines. One in Vietnam. The list goes on and on. HOw does not wanting the military to dump GI's in the landfill make me want attention? YOu evidently suck and are probably GAY.

  • My sympathy goes out to all of you have lost your soldier. In my family we only have one who was in Iraq but came home a few months ago. He will be going to Afghanistan soon. I have friends also whos husbands have been gone more than they are home. God Bless and Godspeed. I just wish this war would be over and all of our men and women could come homw.

  • I lost my son-in-law SGT Michael Balinus April 21 2005 after he returned from Iraq. This song makes me remember the good times we all had together, We love you son. thank you for posting this song. God Bless

  • @22y32g9 My sympathy for the loss of your son. I'm sure that it must have been hard. But, rest assured, he is now in a better place.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @LtThompsonCS Thank You. God Bless

  • Comment removed

  • @22y32g9

He's in a better place with his fellow brothers now... Godspeed SGT Michael Balinus!

  • @22y32g9 sorry for you :'(

  • I'm not one for country music, but this hit home.

  • @psychdoggg Glad you like it :)

  • AMAZING.. I LOVE THIS. I USE TO LIVE A COUPLE OF STREETS FROM DOBBINS AIR FORCE AND LOCHEED IN MARIETTA, GA. I MISS IT. NOW I LIVE CLOSE TO YONAH MNT IN CLEVELAND, GA. THIS WAS SO BEAUTIFUL . VID AND SONG WAS GREAT. I LOVE OUR USA & ALL BRANCHES WHO BELIEVE IN IT.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANK YOU ALL,

    DENISE

  • Well Done, A friend sent me this video because someone thought it was one of mine that I done for the Troops. I worked with a man in the shipbuilding industry who's job was bringing soldiers home from vietnam. I was told that it affected him greatly transporting those that gave their all for our Freedom. He has passed on now and this video made me think of Mr. James. Thanks for the video and may The Creator of Heaven protect our soldiers. Sincerely Chris

  • @ChrisBarbour Thanks for your kind words Chris.

    Stay safe out there,

    Justin

  • Thank you to all you who have served in the military. I truly do appreciate you.

I have a son who is a navigator in a C130 Hercules. He has been in that plane that carried all kinds of cargo. He has not told me what kind. So you see this has an extra special meaning to me. Love you all and pray for you.

  • A friend and I flew home on emergency leave in the cargo hold of a C47 cargo plane from Ramstein AB some years back headed for Andrews AFB. For those ten or eleven hours, we had a great time getting to know each other and I have to tell you, we shed a few tears for each other, he for the death of my sibling sister and me for him. The coffin wasn't a beautiful work of art, but I know the body within it was a hero in my eyes. A fallen comrade in arms. Whoever you were thankyou for your service!!!!

  • @Jigsaw816 Thank you for your Service. May you never need to escort a fallen Brother Home. Stay Safe out there & Godspeed.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • Awesome video! The 45 dislikers should be taken home and dumped out of the back of that C-130 about half way to Iraq with their buddy Bin Laden

  • God bless our troops!

  • Thank you sir, SO MUCH for sharing this!

  • @LtThompsonCS Thank you for your kind words. I will be sure to thank all of them. Im currently a Junior and have intentions of enlisting in the air force when i graduate next year. Thanks again for your kind words. On behalf of my family and my self, Thank you so much and god bless you, the usa, and all the troops over sea and here state-side.

  • Someone posted this on Facebook today, just shortly after I posted the DOD notices for Senior Airman Bryan R. Bell, Tech. Sgt. Matthew S. Schwartz, Airman 1st Class Matthew R. Seidler to my Facebook page. It is a wonderful song and a great video. Within the next 60 days my firstborn son will be deploying once again into harm's way,and I confess that I am afraid, very afraid. May God bless all our Armed Forces as they serve, and God speed to them all.

  • @ndgriego1 Well, in that case may he complete the tour, whilst not returning Stateside aboard an Angel Flight. Please wish my my regards.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • Fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing this with those of us who care.

  • Thankyou : This video does not just touch Americans. My brother Michael was KIA Aug 9th 1974 and came home on a flight just like this. This video touched me in ways that I thought I could no longer be touched.

  • @misred1 My sympathy/condolences for the loss of your brother. Rest assured he is now in a better place.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @misred1 This was such a wonderful tribute to all of the fallen. We live in a free country because of the brave. So sorry for your loss.

  • Nothing to say but God Bless America and our Hero's!

  • Thank you to my friend Roger for this.... smile :-)

  • Just post about my time on the USS New Orleans LPH-11 when it went to VietNam in 1968-69. Dumb me forgot to put my name, ABH-2 Bobby Slaughter, If anyone who was there with me please send me an email @ metalarmdad@yahoo.com

  • I went to VietNam on the USS New Orleans LPH-11 in 1968 and we took a Marine CH53 Squadron with us. We spent our first 63 days on the Flight Line off the coast of DaNang supporting Marine HMM264 Squadron. After that we did something of everything. Near the end of our tour we went to DaNang to load troops and Helos and bring back to the US. One long year, glad I went, glad I was there when Pres. Nixon said "Enough, Bring our Troops Home"

  • @metalarmdad I'm glad you made it back. Thanks for your Service & my condolences/sympathy for what your Generation had to face upon return Stateside.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @metalarmdad Thank you for your service to this country!! The way VietNam vets were treated upon arrival home was a disgrace and a permanent scar on the virtue of this nation. Coming home alive from that place was a true victory. You all should have been treated like the patriots you truly are.

  • My heart breaks for every fallen one. To may gone.... to many heros.

  • My cousin is over seas as a marine. My brother is there too in the air force. My other brother is in the navy heading there today. I hope none of them have to come home on the angel flight.

  • @GTAxWORMSTER Well, in this case I wish your family the best & hope that none of them will ever need to fly aboard an Angel Flight. Thank them for their Service, if you would not mind.

    God Bless You All,

    Justin

  • In February of '68, while I was still in Boot Camp at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, I got word that my one-and-only brother (a half-brother, at that), was killed in Viet Nam by friendly fire. I couldn't cry for him because I never got to know him. We only met once with I was 7 years old, and he was about 12. His name was Rick Kopka (from Hammond, IN). Thank you, Lt. Thompson, for posting this video.

USN, (Attack Squadron VA-35) aboard the USS Coral Sea, Viet Nam (1969-1970)

  • @RonN448 My sympathy/condolences for the loss of your Brother/Comrades-in-Arms & for what your Generation had to face upon return Stateside.

Thanks to the both of you for Serving.

  • I lost several friends in 68-69. It is heartwarming to see the tribute that these heroes get today. Thanks!

  • That was awesome. Thank you for sharing it. God Bless our men and women in uniform.

  • @RetiredLE Mike, thanks for Serving. Looks like you've had one heck of a career, "seeing the world".

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @LtThompsonCS Well, it was only eight years as an Airdale followed by 25+ in law enforcement. But I was privileged to see a lot of different places and experience how other people lived. It made me truly thankful to call the US of A home.

  • @RetiredLE I am not much of a cryer but I went through a box of tissues! This is wonderful, all Americans should see this. I kind of wonder at the 40 who watched and disliked this one but it's America and its their right.

  • I think those that died in combat deserve tributes, but when done by people for profit's sake...I get chapped.

  • Standing on the tarmac, during the night at SFO, we watched as the "human remains' of our military came out of the cargo bays and onto the conveyor belt, for their final trip home. Each coffin had a man from his unit accompanying his body home. They would stand at attention, saluting as the casket went by. We would invite these escorts for coffee in our offices, but they would not leave the side of their fallen comrade. This song/eulogy captures the essence of our heartfelt respect. Vietnam 1966

  • @tombstonejohnstone Wow; I imagine that must be such a sight to see (reminds me of the HBO movie "Taking Chance" if you've ever seen it).

Thanks for Serving. My condolences/sympathy for what your Generation had to face upon return Stateside.

    God Bless,

    Justin

  • @tombstonejohnstone aww :'(

  • Remember, too, those who came home that way before it was called an Angel Flight. RA16324260

  • IF YOUR NOT WILLING TO STAND BEHIND OUR SOLDIERS, THEN PLEASE FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM!

  • I know their do it for our good, but serving in the military, just the killing other people, is very very very wrong. Im not compleatly agianst war just the "killing other people" part. BECAUSE WHEN GOD SAY YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADALUTARY HE DIDN'T MEAN YOU CAN MAKE AN EXPTION FOR WAR.

  • @SecondCocacola Well i guess your entitled to your opinions. BUT ITS BECAUSE OF WHAT THESE BRAVE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN DID FOR OUR COUNTRY, FOR US, THAT YOU ACTUALLY CAN VOICE YOUR OPINION!! FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! Its people like YOU that made me join the IL PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS! The IDIOTS that protest funerals for our fallen HEROES should be stripped of all the rights that this country has to offer BECAUSE of the THESE HEROES!! GOD BLESS OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN!

  • @FLHX2010CUSTOM I KNOW THAT that is why i said "I know its for our good"

what im trying to get at is that who ever first made the assumption that it was ok to kill other humans for war was an idiot. If that assumption was never made we would not need to have war, the world would be at peace... etc, etc, etc. I do want to join the airforce after collage though!
