This reminds me nothing of Mordor at all because Mordor. Mordor had big black clouds,a giant spire with the eye of Sauron,a bazillion orcs,a big frickin volcano,black ground all over,big flying lizards with freaks on top, and also the black gate was black and was an entrance/exit for Mordor........no giant skeletons,or zombies,no snow or ice, and the gate didnt lead up a hill to a spire. This is my list of easy to remember things about Mordor by seeing it once.

Yes you can use flyers in northrend. You have to be at least 77 and have to buy a new skill for it though.  Its something like 'chill wind riding skill' or something to that effect.
